Yeah that was me in chat jmccrea. My first game with the new patch was Procipinee w/ Pariden and I didn't encounter it. Doesn't mean it's not there though, especially with someone else reporting the same combo producing the issue.

I mentioned this in chat yesterday (spells constantly missing) and was told it is a known issue. I couldn't find any rhyme or reason to it. Some battles my spells would always land, some battles I couldn't hit anything. Same with archers. At least they are aware of it so I expect it'll get fixed soon.
The problem here is people have grown to expect betas to function more like a demo of the final product than an actual technical bug fixing stage. A lot of companies do betas that are nothing more than marketing stunts. This is a real, actual, beta build. If you are not comfortable TESTING something that is incomplete (the new AI isn't even plugged in) don't download it and wait for the final release. I believe that is the point with identifying each faction like: AI: Gilden – The heavy production faction AI: Capitar – The merchant heavy faction He wants the factions to have their own personality.

Right now you can only upload maps, the others aren't enabled. I think the eta was 1-2 weeks for quests and campaigns, at which time I would imagine they'll patch the mod tools.
Brad was kind of back and forth on what to expect of the initial campaign. Ah. That explains why my injured 4 man group turned into a single soldier with the strength of 4 men. It does seem to be more of a graphical glitch. My single soldier hit just as hard as the original group.
I assumed this was done for balance reasons but it has bugged me since beta that children mature faster than puppies. Of coarse going for realism means your sovereign has to age much faster or your children much slower. I'm not sure either scenario would be more desirable.

I had the exact same issue through pretty much all of beta 2 and 3A. I too assumed it was an overheating issue but monitoring my temps showed I wasn't running any hotter than other games. PSU could be failing but I doubt it, I'm running a high end 750W psu, and again nothing else triggers it.
