So I was exploring early in the game when my sovereign was cut off from my territory by a new city from a rival. He had nowhere to go, and got pushed further and further into the mountains as their influence spread. So I could go to war or just have to wait it out...finally their influence spread to the point he literally had nowhere to stand and I was prompted with the "I'll leave peacefully option". Okay, so if your city runs into your influence edge, you can't build past it. The city already takes up some world grid space as you build individuals buildings. My point is that when there is nothing but open space around your city, not being able to expand it beyond an arbitrary "no more # of buildings" limit seems silly.
I can totally understand only having a limited number slots available before the city reaching lvl 5, but after that it seems ridiculous. It doesn't even make any logical sense..."oh, you have plenty of space around the city but you can't build anymore cuz we say so."
1. How do you make parties? I've researched the tech but can't figure out how to make parties of 3 or more of the same unit. 2. What exactly promotes more population to join a city and level up? Is it just the amount of housing? 3. Where are all of the spells I'm researching going? I research most spells and then my caster doesn't have them in his spell book. What gives?
