This happens to me independent of caravans... it seems to be completely random, actually... at least so far I've seen no obvious cause.

Correct. The problem completely disappears if I switch to windowed mode (although of course the windows make it not look as pretty...)
All the Fallen Soverigns are listed as having "Life" spellbooks, even though they are clearly supposed to be Death. They properly produce the Fallen land effect, but they are labelled "Life."
If I have the menu up, alt-tabbing out and coming back works ok (sometimes some graphics corruption), but if I do so when the actual 3D game screen is up, it usually (although not quite always) crashes with a Dx Error:Invalid Call http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8683962/debug-ctdalttab.err
I prefer the first option as the default (fixed size *relative* to background - so scaling matched to zoom), but leaving the check box is good if possible.
Oh, and here's a screenshot of the "graphics corruption" - note the white stuff everywhere that isn't the city - there's not supposed to be any snow there!
If I build a lumber yard and then cancel construction, the forest disappears... Is this intended behavior? I could understand that I might be harvesting all the trees, but it seems like it should take time. Also, once I destroy it I can build harbors there... but apparently that's a known bug.
It seems to happen every time... and by "are you sure you've gotten Beta 2A properly installed" I'm not sure what you mean - I ran the upgrade via impulse without any complaints and it says it's on .803 - is there something else I need to do?
See the attached screenshot... the two squares to the bottom-right of my city are red indicating I can't build on them, but there's not indication as to why they are red, as nothing seems to be blocking them or anything.
Yes, this seems like a good idea - it seems like it should be easy to basically implement "sea caravans" only for cities with harbors. Maybe that gives a reason for pirates, too... and everybody loves pirates!
Maybe someone has said this already, but is there any plan to allow round worlds - e.g. where the left and right edges of the map join each other?
This has been bothering me too... One thing I noticed, though: if your game ends (e.g. your soverign dies with no cities), but you don't quit out of the program, you CAN load your custom soverign, at least until you quit. So apparently it's saved, but not over multiple times of running Elemental.
I thought I saw that this was fixed in the Beta 2A change log, but it seems to still persist for me (on Windows 7). If I alt-tab out of Elemental when the 3D map is visible, I get a crash to desktop with a "DX Error: invalid call" message. If I alt-tab from anywhere other than the 3D map, it doesn't happen, although I sometimes get various forms of graphics corruption.
See the included screenshots - several champions suddenly appeared all in one turn, but they are mostly all duplicates of each other (only 1 or 2 unique ones, at least one of which I had recruited many turns before). I'm not exactly sure what triggered this... The only thing of significance that happened in the previous few turns was completion of the second stage of the "Wild Goose Chase" quest, and meeting an opposing faction for the first time. <img src="http://conte
