I have been waiting to really play and enjoy this game since I bought Elemental. I was of course disappointed and never really played Elemental. They gave me Fallen Enchantress...this took away some of what I like in Elemental and had it's own problems.. I played that game longer but never really enjoyed it. It always seemed unfinished to me. Has anyone else noticed that late game the AI (I play at expert and ridiculous) doesn't have any resources? I am in a late game atm and all of the AI are at low influence, high coin, and no resources (iron, horse, warg, crystal). I check them all and they do have access to them and they are building on the resources. Any feedback on this would be appreciated.

Glumrug. If you are looking for just higher essence then mod the scryingpool building to give you +E to whatever value you want. I just tend to put hammer, gentle rain, meditation, and innovation? (the + to research), thus I only need +4 essence per city. The game is still really fun for what it is. I have replayed it more then most games in the past few years.

I got around the cap yield by trial and error values and yield values. Problem is that I end up with ratios like 10G, 10M, 1 E, or 5G, 0M, 10E. These values were to high and to random for my game style. Working within the games parameters I was able to modify several XML file values to get consistent tile yields of 3-3-3, 3-4-2, 4-4-1 G/M/E. I have looked at the ElementalDef.xml and TerrainTypes.xml and after several trials and errors managed to get the balance ratio I desired. I consistently get 3-3-3, 2-4-3, 4-4-1 G/M/E or similar ratios. They are more in keeping with that load screen tip that says to chose those areas with high materials (4-5), etc to build your cities.</s

That might explain why there are tiles that should show Mat, Grain, Ess but don't. I only have the G, M, E set to 1.5 per tile but it seems the calculations max at 9 total so either 3g, 3m, 3e, or any variation. It makes it rough when you end up with tiles that have 0G, 5M, 4E or any other type of combination that leaves a 0. I will keep playing around til I find a good balance.

Appreciate the info Dangerlinto. I noticed the max of 9 as well with an occasional 5 g 6 m so up to 11 but no essence in that regard. I will keep poking around and let you know if I find anything. To Kongdej: ?

I would like to say that I have been greatly impressed by your dedication and desire to make this game great. I think that you have learned a lot from your previous attempt and have been happy with the growth so far. I am pleased to see the directions you are taking and hope you continue to go down this road. I, as you obviously are, an old time gamer. I loved turned based games as it gave me time to think and really immerse and enjoy the game.

Just thought I would drop a not encase someone hasn't already posted this: Fighting a Air elemental, Killed it, then it spammed lightning strike repeatedly. Had to use task manager to shut the game down. Some tiles are showing up black on the maps. Game is running really slow or laggy. Thanks, Serin.

I am overall very pleased and have enjoyed several hours of game play. The main areas I have a problem with is Map Size. I only play on Large and at times it feels like I am playing on medium or small. If there are not going to be any naval units then reduce ocean size to the map edges and the majority of the center as a HUGE land mass with rivers and lakes. As it stands right now for me, champions are pretty much worthless. There is no need to have them. I get my Sovereign up in levels and equipped he pretty much just auto kills everything, even deadly mobs. I used to explore and grab as many NPCs as I could, but since you shouldn't have more then one in a stack (exp loss), I just don't bother. Well after nearly 2 years of playing Elemental and now Fallen Enchantress I have finally been able to play a game to the end without CTDs, to much lag and stacks of doom (NPCs). Funny you should say experiment. LOL. I just did. I recommend only modding the LAND terrain. I was able to get a general increase over all. New game with YIELD values at 2 on LAND terrain gave me 5 grain/4 Material and 4/4 with the majority being 5/3 or 4/3 but I succeeded in getting a slight boost to base materials which was my goal without Overpowering it. I will keep you posted on how it progress over several game starts.<

Expansion already and we haven't even gotten the original up and running without bugs. Maybe you should have waited a few more months before releasing the WoM and just put out Elemental: Fallen Enchantress. I really hope you fix a few things with this expansion.... 1. Reply to Minor Factions in WOM Mods

Not sure anyone is even reading this post but the reason the minor factions don't show up on the game generated maps is because they were never put on them. Editing the maps I see one spot for minor factions and several for random main factions. It is my belief that the Devs didn't consider that minor factions don't populate a map like the Major ones do, so the random locations are invalid for Minor Factions. The only fix I can see working is editing the primary maps, adding the Minor Faction

Looks good for a RTS. I like that you can pause. I hope you can still give orders and set up admin functions while paused then hit continue thus treating it like a turn base game. If anyone can confirm this it will help me decide to buy it or not. X3:TC has a lot of limitation, but the freedom to build and do anything is pretty cool. It takes a long time to learn how to do things and you have to spend time researching forums to get good info on how to play. I wish they would have spent more time on the AI to give a more alive feel for it. Overall, it is a tough game, but can be fun. Enjoy.
