We'll find out for sure when beta 2 hits, this thread is just assumptions. At least the question was answered: no one knows because that part of the game hasn't been made available yet.

One point that I haven't seen addressed here for combat: In a game that is supposed to be able to handle many (I think it was 32?) players, will multiple players be able to participate in a combat? Can an allied player's units help defend my city, or can there be a massive free for all slugout between several armies desperately trying for control of an important choke point or resource? For those that have already seen the beta (I'm stuck waiting for beta 2 before I can join the fun!) does elemental offer necromancy or the equivalent as an option for the player? I saw that there are elemental forms of magic, and they have light and dark aspects, but what that actually means in terms of gameplay or flavor I havent' been able to see for myself......yet!
Yeah, I think Romothecus is right, I didn't get any access information in my email. Hopefully it shows up in impulse when the beta starts.
How does this work if you preordered it through the website and bought the collectors box? No registration for the game is given with the preorder since you aren't charged for it until the game is shipped (just an order number). Is stardock mailing out beta registrations to those individuals or did I pay extra for the cloth map and thereby screw myself out of beta access?
