This may be a question that has been addressed before. IIRC, when GalCiv 2 came out, Brad stated on the forums or somewhere that it was best for Stardock if customers bought GalCiv 2 at retail instead of online. The explanation was something to the effect that buying the game in the store would help get more traction with retailers and keep the game on the shelf longer. Of course Impulse has blown up since then and so I don't know if that's the case for Elemental. Anyo
