If you are the Kraxis side, and choose the Enmity upgrade for a hero character. Which enemies does it apply to? Kraxis are on the 'bad side' but they are also not 'fallen' as such... What happens if you hire a fallen hero, or a human hero. Do they get their enmity from the side, or from their original race?

Wow, 25 bucks AUD to buy the book from borders in Australia.... search of the net shows the epub is 16USD... crikey that's a lot of cash. Hope they drop the epub price at some points, the novel is just too expensive right now. Oh well.

Just found this thread... sorry for the cross post in the other one, but, can we get this in epub or through Borders? I have a non-kindle e-reader and would love to get my hands on it. Harpo, who is retailing it in Australia?

I'm playing 2 vs 2, locked teams, and can't work out how to give resources to my ally.... the option to do so is greyed out, and the tooltip doesn't specify what I need to research... I've researched a bunch of stuff and it still won't let me dish out the dosh. I must be missing something....

goldmull, you are playing a multiplayer game. It has other people in it who may value their time, so you can't force them to fight valiantly to the bitter end if they see no point, and their teammates can always fight on if they want to --> their choice.

Karma needs to be out of the hands of the moronic masses (i.e. us players :) ).. otherwise it will get abused. If you tie it to staying till the end, for goodness sake give us the concede defeat option so that we don't have to read a book while waiting for the other side to finish us off.

It's a competitive style of game. There will always be a way to grief others if you make arbitrary rules about quitting.... whether the winners dragging it out for achievement/favour garbage, or losers dropping on their team mates just after some time limit expires.. Just count the quit as a loss, as it rightly is. No need for anything extra. Warcraft3 has this right (which is why arranged team matches are very popular and random team is exactly what it says :) )

Why argue about it (piracy and it's rationalisation)? :) If you are serious about making money from software, you need to make it so that people can't pirate it (which is likely to be impossible) or make it so that it is more convenient to buy it. As simple as that :) It's the responsibility of those creating things to safeguard their investment, not the general public to ensure they comply with the desires of those making products for consumption

Free weekends are a great way to get people in (ala steam games). Not sure if stardock's impulse system will allow you to do that, but you could make regular free days for people to play. However, if you want something more permanent that allows demo players to interact with the greater population, go with a demo that has a TUTORIAL (for the love of god, get a tute in there), but has a time limit on play after installation.

Sedna is a bit to tree-huggy fluffy-bunny for me. No fun :D Have to go with Oak I think, you'd get buffed by him every minute or two! O_o I'd be a bit nervous worshiping any of the evil guys.. they don't seem like the stable, happy types Rook would mean well, but I'd worry about him accidentally stepping on his followers while heading to the loo in the middle of the night. Erebus is batting for the wrong side.
