What I get out of this is that there is something wrong with Google's culture and a company that powerful with that sick a culture needs to be dealt with by anti-trust laws. Think about it. Can anyone imagine a Microsoft or Apple employee using their products or services to try to hurt people they don't like because of their politics? I have friends at Microsoft and they were always very paranoid about doing anything that could be interpreted as an abuse of their power because the DOJ
ummm... the mods are ecomental which increases map size and land type distribution, and Heavenfall's mod. Do either modify the AI routines we're discussing here, and so may be responsible for AI not attacking, or leaving cities undefended, or not casting mid-level strategic spells like tremor on attacking armies? If you answer yes, please to backup where you got that info. If you answer no, please to backup how/w

It's a shame that some people won't acknowledge how much better the AI has already is in 1.1 over when it first came out. I see complaints about the AI that were specifically addressed in the release notes in 1.1. I never see AI cities left weakly defended anymore, for instance. If you want to complain about the AI then at least make sure you're actually playing the current games. It stinks of bellyaching to the point of sounding only a little better than the people wh
I thought when we had the map pack topic it was almost unanimous that we said $5 was too much. $3.99 would be a nicer price point for just a few maps and stamps
I paid $5 for skins for my XCOM guys. It's 5 bucks. If a dollar makes the difference for you then you probably shouldn't buy it.

Deranged doesn't even begin to describe it. I'll occasionally see their referrals and realize they're stalking another blog I've put up. They are really obsessed. http://brokenforum.com/index.php?threads/brad-wardell-stardock-sue-employee-for-one-million-dollars.3087

On the fence. Do I wait until release or do I try out the betas? I have Beta 1 already. Don't want to spoil it though.

Someone could also just mod Elemental to be like Civilization V too. [e digicons]^_^[/e]

My interest in this topic is really piqued now. So other than the Civilization series, what other turn based strategy games would you consider as good or better than the Galactic Civilizations series?

I'm a fan of the Civilization series but the onus is really on them to make people want to get it instead of Elemental. It's Civilization...again.
