I was under the impression that once you hit max level you start getting more gold in place of the XP. Perhaps the amount of gold could be adjusted so the team with the XP lead then maintains a gold lead and therefore retain the edge in balance of power? It sounds like the amount of extra gold generated now doesnt quite make up for hitting the cap.

The real problem is Stardock are running low on Dilithium. Communications intercepted on #Demigod
One of the cluster has a problem. They are taking it out and rerouting power to the impulse drive.
Come on guys... just reverse the polarity already [e digicons][/e]
Doing both when on a limited budget risks having both aspects failing or just being mediocre. It's bette to specialize in one aspect or the other.
Just to build on that - its been my experience that trying to get the balance right when you have a game with one foot in single player and another in multi is damn near impossible - often taking many years for a developer to get right and often compromising something vital
OMG When was Job added?! What abilities does he have? General or Assassin? I Wanna play him! Play him! PLAY HIM NOW!!!!111 *mashes keyboard trying to activate the Job Demigod*
Demigod is a Kung Fu movie. The plot is there as a cunning way of stringing a bunch of fight scenes together. I go to action movies for action not for the plot. I play Demigod to beat the ever living snot out of things, rob them of their valuables and use it that wealth to purchase a pimp hat of +1 snot belting. Demigod is first and foremost a multiplayer game, constantly resetting itself back to the beginning with each battle. There is no substantial plot because there is no
If its AI with evil DGs then its probably a small oversight in Pantheon mode and no doubt easily fixed.
If you're not part of the solution [e digicons][/e]

Stardock are busting their balls to fix the problem with the networking code which they were not able to see until the product went worldwide. That appears to be the only problem with game as pointed out above... so why the hell encourage people not to buy this awesome game? Is learning how to play vs the AI instead of a human that much of a deal killer? Stardock will address the networking issue whether people buy it or not - but how well this game does finacially will determ
Alas until I change service providers I cant afford the bandwidth of downloading the game. Perhaps this will be the straw that breaks the camels back and gets me angry enough to do it. I signed up for Telstras unlimited cable and all I got was the 3G cap [e digicons]>:([/e]
Demigod has never pretended to be anything else but a multiplayer game. If that is not what you are interested in playing thats cool. But why not go play another game with a campaign instead of complaining this game doesnt have one? There is so many negative threads on this board at the moment that its hard to see the posts from people overjoyed with the game from the ones complaining that Demigod does not match up to their preconceptions. The negative posts are going
Another Queenslander here - Did all of you guys buy online or is somewhere selling box copies already?
A level 4 Bishop should cost 200 gold to summon, every time. Alternatively, minions killed should render gold and xp.
Aaaannnd we come full circle. This is kind of why I expected minions to give gold or xp.
Thats a good point. I suppose with some micro you could spread the minions out a bit so they don't all get hit but even then its still a weakness. Obviously developing non minion skills in tandem with minion skills is important. But still... I was more worried about feeding the other side money or xp by playing a General (Or having a team member do it)
Outstanding! I was agonising over what the risk to reward was with developing powerful (personal) minions. Apparently there is no risk?
There has been some recent activity in the strategy forum about the Unclean Beast. Who would have thought there would be strategy in the strategy section! [e digicons];P[/e]
I love a good manual too but only as a resource of information for things that I may have missed after spending at least several hours playing. Due the high frequency of patches Stardock manuals are rendered obsolete very quickly. Stardock know this and produce manuals that touch on the broader ideas that are less likely to change. Give it a couple of months and I'm willing to bet something that is in the manual will be flat wrong despite the efforts to avoid it. Even
Interesting that there is no gold for killing General minions. Do they give any xp? reduced xp?
How about Demigod vs Chess? Clearly Demigod was just as influenced by Chess - The Rook is a complete ripoff but the implementation of diagonal movement is innovative. There have been substantial UI and AI improvements over standard Chess however Chess still holds the edge in looks with photo real graphics but the effects detail is woeful and the audio can be really amateur at times. Like Demigod Chess has no campaign component or a tutorial which seems to upset many but Chess
