Why yes wnmnkh of course. If at the start of the game somebody decides to charge into the enemy towers and die its the fault of the entire team. The Sedna player should have ran in after him dispensing heal with her right hand while chugging mana pots with her left. Oak should have been shielding in tag team with the QoT. Because if Leeroy fricken Jenkins should die its the whole teams fault. Maybe he died because the team didnt love him enough. Group Hug!

No need to apologise Bender I just couldnt follow what was going on [e digicons]:)[/e] Thanks for the clarification. And yes I certainally know what you mean. If anything I understand too well having played a few too many games as healer type characters. Theres nothing quite like chasing after somebody as they run away from you only to see them die and have them scream at you for not healing.
Yes exactly ubersmurf I agree. Which is why I said I agree there should be an award and then proceeded to present some serious issues with implementing one [e digicons][/e]
Of course Pounce is good. The entire post was on the subject of diminishing returns on point investment which is why I commented on the diminishing return of the damage. But there was also the assertion that despite the diminishing return you have to invest points in it because its your only damage ability. That comment does not preclude Pounce being a good ability.
Wait what? Bender thats what I'm saying you're saying and he's saying you don't heal even when you are close. But you say he's right then contradict yourself?
A rogue isnt very... demigody. When I get introduced to Demigods at formal dinners they should be huge buggers all glowy and stuff. Life of the party kind of people. Not the bloke standing off to the side stealing the silverware. We could probably expect to see this in his holy book should he become a god. Bravely bold sneaky Roguey Rode forth into the Arena. He was not afraid to die, Oh brave sneaky Roguey. He was not at all afraid To be kil

[quote quoting="post"] Too many times have I played and my allies have been taken out, then, no doubt out of frustration, a message appears "Sedna, where were you!", "Sedna, why didn't you heal!", "Sedna, WTF!". To these people , if you have not communicated some sort of plan, please don't expect others to know what you're thinking and follow you blindly. Thats not what I'm saying at all LittleOz. Theres a huge difference between seeing an ally in trouble and being able to help or following them around the entire game just in case they get into trouble. The OP is talking about the way players complain when percieved 'support' characters don't follow them around and/or spec for maximum support.
That was my point all along [e digicons]:)[/e]
I'm kinda starting to sound like a broken record on this so I'll be brief. Theres no such thing as support character in DG. There are DG's with support abilities but nobody who fits into the traditional 'healer' type slot. My evidence for this is the fact to progress in this game you need to beat things up, get xp and gold and make yourself more powerful. If you forsake your dps and focus entirely on healing your DG will quickly fall behind and suck. So while a good Se
Possibly... but if you are thinking in terms of how many minions she has compared to other DG's the Yetis with Wild Swings are worth a lot more than 1 for purposes of this calculation.
I agree that there should be a support award. Though it is entirely possible that the kind of gods that would throw some demigods into an arena and make them beat each other into a bloody pulp are not the kind of individuals whose favour you gain from healing the wounded. Bastards. But then how do you balance the favor? I don't see how any other DG could beat a determined Sedna to the award. Then you just get 'I turned up' favour (provided a lot of people dont start pl
Hello fellow Sednaphiles [e digicons]\o/[/e] I have a few tips that you may find useful. Sedna has a few ability selections that are of greater value that others. That is to say some abilities give you greater value per point spent and its worth keeping in mind which choices have diminishing returns. Inner Grace The first point of Inner Grace is much more valuable than the others. You gain 5% movement every time but Inner Grace I grants +10 Hp
Don't forget that with Wild Swings the Yetis damage nearby enemies for 75% damage. Just something to keep in mind before you go dismissing Minion +damage on Sedna [e digicons]:-"[/e]
Sleep Spend time with your family Make a video of yourself playing Demigod but with the speakers turned down so that you can supply all the sound effects. Whoosh! Arrg! Bang Bang eeeeek!
Thats good perspective r3trograd3 and a valid point but I think I can speak for a great number of people here when I say that even though these posts come from people with an understandable degree of frustration it is equally frustrating to see that they leap straight from a bad experience with the game and begin typing a tirade in general. Now even the tirade part is understandable but the are almost always filled with false statements and misinformation. Given how much Frog
I like this idea but not for the reason stated. Tell me if im wrong - but the reason why you want your allies to know you have no mana is so they will stop yelling "heal" or "shield" at you. I don't think thats the right way to approach that. For starters the kind of personality thats going to yell such things isn't going to check your mana status before acting like the child in the toy store who is told by the parent they can't afford what they want. That kind of thinking als
There was a beta. The "countless" problems pretty much all boil down to multiplayer connectivity. A complex problem with many interacting variables but basically one big problem. This problem was not discovered until the game was stress tested on a massive scale - worldwide release. The only way to stress test on that scale is to release. This has been covered so many times before.

In Valen's name! I had no idea there were Bab 5 miniatures. Must... resist... urge to buy

Now that I think about it this debate reminds me of Roger Wilco putting the ladder in his pocket in Space Quest III. Dydx: I was under the impression she lost her last job by extinguishing too many souls in the champagne room. While we are at it somebody explain to me exactly what the motivation is for the player to buy the QoT something to wear? I don't think they were thinking about the targeted demographic.
