The performance is still not what I wish on my monster gaming pc but with the new 1.7 patch I actually really have a boost of 15 to 20 FPS at all time even on my crazy level 5 city spinning my camera like a mad men. I can play the game now [e digicons]:w00t:[/e] 25 to 35 fps is enough for a strategy game but I sill hope for some more performance tweak in the future.

The instant the patch hit, I will check if the game take more than 5% of one on my 5970 gpu if not I hope we will have news on this issue.
Since my "Metro 2033 Maxed in DX11" rig is not powerful enough for this game I must consider a refund too but I will wait after the big September patch. I do not want optimization only but I want the game to actually use my hardware. My 5970 is so unused that it go randomly in 2D desktop only mode.
#1: Game using all my gpu #2: More shortcuts #3: Night and day cycle
All of this is marvelous! I just wish the game engine will use more than 5-10% of our gpu in the future!
Add Star after the rock and I agree with this title. think like a rock STAR! [e digicons][/e] [e digicons][/e]
I own a computer repair shop and tried the game on my own computer and on 2 more of my demo gaming computer in my store. Intel I7 920 Nvidia 460 GTX 6go Ram 2xRaptor 10000 RPM Raid 0 Fresh Installation of Windows 7 x64 dual booting with XP x32 Fully updated ---------------------------------------------- AMD 955BE Ati 5870 4go Ram 1xRaptor Fresh Installation of Windows 7 x64 Fully updated <p
For me the game just need to start using more than 5% of my gpu and get some decent performance.
I hope to see some improvement on performance! I mean even with 97 objects, my Ati 5970 should not have any problems but my gpu is not used "between 0 to 5% maximum" on a clean formated and updated system. So if we have some optimizations on the way the city is rendered does it mean the game will start using my gpu or just optimization that will give better performance even if the game just refuse to use my monster video card? <
Underking: I use the original exe and dll in impulse. My gpu is not used. Working on this crazy issues in far from unnecessary work.
Just a confirmation from me too. Picture: http://tinyurl.com/3829uvj Debug.err: http://tinyurl.com/39oo9xy I play this game with my humble ATI 5970 on my AMD 965 BE X4 My computer have been completely re-installed. I tried catalyst 10.6, 10.7 and 10.8 And it seem my GPU'S are used at 0% after the construction of my city. I get abou
AMD X4 965BE OC @ 4GHZ on water(Tried stock speed too before you ask) 8GO DDR3 1600 MHZ RAID 0 Raptor 10000 RPM Ati 5970 Everything is cool I actually re-installed Windows 7 just for the release of the game. No matter what settings used and resolution the game is getting slower and slower after about 200 turns.
I want to explain myself to why I took the Empire : Total War example, I love PC gaming because for me half the fun is configuring and tweaking my games to make it work, the buggiest the game is the happiest I am! But I was kinda disapointed with Demigod because I don't have any bugs or problems so I have nothing to do or tweak. Just had to redirect some ports in my router to my internal ip address because its clearly stated in the instruction manual to do this. After, the multyplayer worked
Well its the most optimized and well made game I bought for PC for a long time, when games have serious tech problem the forum will be totally FLOODED by complaints, Example : (Empire: Total War). This was a smooth game launch, the game work wonderfully on my heavily modified version of Vista 64 bits, I only use beta drivers and I overcloak like a mad man so I run after problems! But in my case the game work very well. If you think defragmenting your PC and using all the lates
You made me buy this game, the expension and pre-order the one that is coming. You should be paid to write more!
