I like that some people feel the game is lacking soul. Just enough to make them play mods. But not missing so much that the game sales suffer. The perfect amount of soullessness. Like defense attorneys.

Click on the mana display on the top of the screen. It will show you a list of enchantments. Also can be accessed from the Kingdom Report.
I am currently testing turning up AI Values to get certain spells to be cast more often. For some things it works. Have not been able to confirm it for offensive strategic. I think it may have something to do with targeting.
You mean a trade off for choosing them? I could do that. It's hard to give the player exactly what they want for a given penalty. Do I give the fool more crit as dumb luck? Does the clumsy Sov get a bonus to spell mastery when below 50% Hp? It seemed easier to just use the point system so the player chooses their trade. If people want a set trade off though, I can add that to my change list. But right now I am focusing on the strategic and tactical depth. As far as I am co
Did you just increase the AI Value for strategic damage spells? Or did you do some code magics?
I like the scale, but hope there is a season inclusion for the expansion. That would be very nice.
I agree with most of his criticisms, except that he needs to know about Stormworld if fantastic races are his personal taste. And the "moderately high" replay value was way off. 8 unique races and a serious map generator force me to conclude a very high replay value.
Maybe shy away from too much summons spells? If people are going to use this with the Goetia, there might be some overlap. If you focused first on the areas no one is planning a mod for, we could see where we are in a few weeks.
So when are we going to get some pro reviews? I understand that given the release no journalist could have reasonably played long enough to write a full review, but when will they come?
That is outdated info. I used to give Archsummoners more points so they would get more spellbooks. But then I decided to just give them the spellbooks outright and make the trait cost more. [Edit] Changed some of the Sov info to be current. I am working on a full and up to date change list right now. You might notice that I made all those weaknesses extremely painful. They are more like an "ironman mode" within themselves. Go ahead, try and game the system. I dare you. [e digicons]*_*[/e]
So SP improvements are tech trees for Amarians, and core improvements are buildings, only? I guess I could open the files, but it seems easier to just ask, given the size of them.
Correct. I happen to be using the .981 tech tree configuration. I will be moving to a unique design I am working on.
why does it need to be placed in game folder?
1.0 is up. I will start updating my google docs to give a better feel of the core concepts of the mod. One thing people might enjoy is my focus on really impossible wildland bosses. I want to make defeating them part of the endgame. Be it a path to victory or to gain new powers. Many of the wonders I will be adding are going to come from defeating bosses.
Ya, it's almost ready. I am just doing a quick play test to make sure nothing goes horribly wrong.
Cool!
What does "spelltypedrain" do for a lifesteal spell?
The duration for this is 3 for blunt, 5 for cutting and 5 for pierce. Should be 4 for each one to have 3 turns of immunity.
I would approach this as adding spellbooks to the game. Sure, the core books could use some extra options. But we don't want too much power at each level. Instead of just adding some stuff to the elemental spellbooks, why not add more spells in a new kind of book, like the flesh bound tome? One book I am working on is based in alteration magic. Things like levitation, burden, feather and other physical changes to the world are added. The book will be available as a technology unlock in th
That is why I want to be able to import files. Instead of getting a new copy, we should be able to upload new data. When I figure it out, I will make a how-to post.
I can't create a metacritic account so I won't be voting. Stupid server error every time I try to log in. Can't even look at the scores unless I go incognito. I would give metacritic a 0 out of 100 for this. If I could log in, I would give it a 9. I would write a decent critique and I would link to my let's play series about the game. Damn you metacritic and your incompatibility with my computer!
There is a tag for two-handed and a weapon type tag. Just take the ones from battleaxe and put them on the weapon you want. Should translate right over.
For people that are not happy with vanilla, there are mods. Same as any great game, many people just need more challenge or depth or visuals to get their game on. I really suggest trying out Stormworld as Hf has it ready now. It adds some much flair and lore in the areas that people have come to expect from fantasy games.
I guess I am comparing it mostly to Endless Space, which had much less support for any type of modding. I started a few projects for that, but there is just too little you can actually do. Still, add tripD8 says, it should be fixed soon. I hear Frogboy is going to be chatting with us modders next week or so about moving forward.
Ugh, have to go solve someone else's problem. I'll try and get something ready for public release tomorrow.
Not really. Just back them up first. Any mods I play will just be added to my mod. I don't see a risk.
