Anyone get that security key thing for SWOTOR?
Haha, I know. The reason I just found out about the casting times bug is because I have never needed to use more than one Fireball per battle. [e digicons]XD[/e]
Yes! I have long though that having heroes just lying about was more like Monty Python than Elemental. Make it use the quest functionality with a faction specific requirement. if you go into the wrong side's quest you end up having to fight them... and they will be very hard to defeat. Then just make sure the goodie hut persists after the battle is lost and suddenly you have an engaging way to recruit heroes. I also like the Slots idea, but you should get 3 to start. I know
I never have a problem with this, but I am worried for my beloved AI. Even after the bug is fixed that seems to get them killed s easily, they are going to have problems with the monsters. Adding a whole new game mechanic or destroying buildings may not be necessary. Perhaps the capital city should just get more defenders for being, well... the capital city. If we had 4 stock defenders for a capital, problem solved. No change to game mechanics, no extra coding, and monsters don't become m
There will always be a few techs at the beginning that everyone needs. It isn't unreasonable to need leather armor, restoration, recruiting, etc... You need every tier 1 and 2 techs. The interesting choice is the order you choose to get them. That choice is made by the factors of your starting position. This is good game design. Giving the stuff away to avoid having an early game is bad game design. Now, one thing we had in GalCiv2 for people like you was the advanced start
The government knows they can pass pretty much whatever they want. The only way they can be stopped is by a group effort by us, the citizens. They know that will never happen. Americans are politically lazy and ignorant of their power. Let's hope it stays that way. [e digicons];)[/e]
It is possible that regular units are getting a boost to hp. We don't have the new build so all we can do is speculate. Rather frustrating I know, but that is why I have so many mod projects to work on. If WoM taught me nothing else, it was patience.
Could you have a 3 stage AI threaded to handle combat? Is that already how it works? I liked BlightOr's way of describing the factors in every decision. Here are a couple of Commander scenarios for the AI: I am making so many soldiers it doesn't matter if I lose this army. Just kill whatever you can and wait for the next army to clean up. I have so much magic coming in I can cast as much as I want. Get AoE on the frontline and play defensive at the
.78 is probably next week. We would have a change log otherwise.
Great news. People may not always agree with your vision for the game, but they must agree that you are on top making your vision work well. Perhaps I'll name a city after you when I rise to power. [e digicons];)[/e]
Changes to Fireball posted here .
Who are you compromising with? [e digicons]o_O[/e]
This subject is moot until we get the balance changes in .78 next week. Right now there is no need to buy armor because heroes get so much of it from battles.
Apparently two wizards can't cast a long spell at the same time. If wizard one casts Fireball, and then another wizard casts Fireball before the other caster has completed the spell, the second Fireball overrides the first one. Any timed spell will have this problem.
They said maybe.
When I apply to a job I bug their asses for the next couple of months. Convincing an employer to hire you is more than just turning in a form. Lots of employers have slackers on their staff. The trick is to convince the boss that you will be a better employee. Works every time for me. Also, I have been doing construction landscaping for a long time now. The reason only immigrant are hired is because only they are willing to work hard enough to do the job. It is purely a matter of lazy America
I would bet the farm that this is a bug. Has anyone posted a bug report about this?
I wish that encryption keys were more common for everyday passwords. I have a password list for every account. I always use the maximum digit limit and generate a totally random code. Then I can just copy and paste any password. Much better that using actual words.
I agree. Degrees are largely economic ventures, rather than proof of ability nowadays. People that never bothered with internships or even summer jobs can often be unready for the workforce. Of course, I would still hire them as interns for a year. Nothing wrong with giving them a try.
Power to the people only works when the people are paying attention. gtg... Glee is on and I just ordered the family size at KFC. [e digicons]:d[/e]
Give me .78 and I'll give you 5 play by plays a day.
Four Wizards casting fireball doesn't work?
Having to wait 3 turns to cast fireball gives the opponent a chance to spread units out. It gives a mage the chance to counter the spell. Counters are instant I believe. So Fireball is only useful when the enemy has no mages. That is actually a really good balance mechanic. The goal for fire wizards would be to have three or four cast Fireball so that one will not be counterable.
It's a high level quest. Gives you a potion that cures the hero's injuries. It can easily be made into a spell. Would expect to see it in quite a few mods. As to loading... not a game concept as far as I am concerned. Those pansies that reload for a better outcome should be playing on beginner. They deserve no quarter in game design.
