I am a little worried that the computer figured out my haste-slow combo. [e digicons]:S[/e]

>1. The system just needs to balance costs and add more content to the current tree. It is well structured right now. >Currently there are only 2 techs to be gained from quests and about 6 that are randomly available. It would be nice to have a system where there are around 20 random techs and each time a new game is started, you get 3 of those 20. That, combined with about 20 new techs from rare quests would add a level of uniqueness to each game.
Except that it would be irrelevant in this case because the melee bandit did not get a chance to attack until after the archer died.
Making new stats is easy. It is actually how Heavenfall showed me to make mutually exclusive traits and buildings. I think I have around 20 new stats in Ivory Towers right now that only pertain to building choices. This is probably the hardest part of the game to balance because it has to work well with some very different classes and then trained units and creatures. It is essentially the periodic table of elements.
It sounds like I am going to need a low level wizard in every group to avoid getting slammed by Fireball. Either that or some really good archers.
You could also make Encumbrance a stat of its own. Then certain classes would be able to get a bonus to this from levelup. This, combined with making Dexterity either add damage to ranged attacks, or be generally more potent would be one way to balance things. The question I keep asking myself is which stats should a warrior be choosing compared to a mage? Which stats are the best for archers? What kinds of abilities can I get to augment these classes?
I wonder if your AI can be my patented Mantle of Fire Spearmen. Plate+MantleofFire+Spear=UnstoppableForce [e digicons][/e]
One thing that has been pointed out is that strength is the most important stat. It just matters more than anything else. Putting all available points into strength will grant a hero extreme power. This is not the case with any other stat. The question of balance would be to allow this to continue and limit the availability of strength upgrades or to make sure other stats are equally desirable. I am sure Derek will choose one or the other. As long as beta testers give voice to the problem.&nb
Guns are great. Idiots make them less so.
That is going to be some sweet tactical AI. I can't wait to try it out. I would say I wish I could be a fly on the wall, but then you are a frog... [e digicons]8C[/e]
Wow! This is what I have been hoping for. I am curious, how does the AI know which one to use?
I am torn about wanting a new wave of science fiction to hit popular culture. With what happened to vampires in the last decade I am afraid to even think about what terrible things might happen to science fiction. Hopefully TV moves to a lower production quality internet based viewership in the next few decades. Then maybe high quality TV can be a reality again.
BSG was great, but it has the same portion of ridiculous fans. I hope someone realizes that this franchise has some more potential sales. No reason there couldn't a next generation. Science Fiction is pretty much dead on TV right now. [e digicons]:fuzzy:[/e]
How much better is the AI in .78?
Any hints about "big" changes to the improvement system?
This bug will not be fixed... because Caravans are going away! [e digicons]\o/[/e] Huzzah!
Some new building ideas: Elemental Temple This building will allow any hero to unlock the level 1 spellbooks for all 6 elements. Normally seeing a new elemental spellbook other than the ones a hero already owns is extremely rare. This building will ensure every hero has the opportunity to learn these magics at the level of their choosing. Players that devote their entire nation to the study of magic should be rewarded with very proficient magic users. They will also have the b
Knowing that I will be able to link buildings to trait paths gives me some interesting options. I am now thinking of reducing this mod from changes to the core game to something more like adding paths and traits for building specialization. I will have to stick to the paths available on release. From each of those paths, new paths could be unlocked from tech specialization. Probably best to put this idea on hold until the final version is released.
I never would have thought that caravans would be axed. This is great news!

I'm sure he has already been contacted by Dr. Phil.[/quote] Actually there is alot we can see in the video that tells us a little bit about the father. He showed signs of long term brain damage from alcohol abuse.
I just played a game where I had a 8/3 starting position with every shard near my capital. Wish I could enjoy this, but in .77 it didn't matter that much. Still the best start I have had.
I never got other Star Wars fans. The Clone Wars is a great show for children. It's one of those shows that also offers something for the grown ups to enjoy too. Lightsaber duels get better every episode. I don't see a reason to complain. The problem with making an epic fantasy environment is that it will attract people that want an imaginary universe to live in, as there is little control over the real one. It's pretty easy to get flamed when your fans see you a
I have a mod in the works that will focus on expanding lairs and training creatures. It is temporarily called Beastmaster Mod. This mod and Beastmaster Mod will work in conjunction with Ivory Towers.
It was funny to watch but not really very good parenting. When you act out of anger and do something rash and public to punish your daughter for acting out of anger and doing something rash and public, you are really just reinforcing the behavior. It would have been better to just make her apologize on her FB account and then make her the cleaning lady for a few months.
I suspect that spell resistance is blocking some of the damage. I too have noticed some fluctuations from this spell.
