Hi DrJBHL, Sorry for not posting the site I got my color profile from, I spent so much time just trying to find software that would make this monitor even work I am now completely exhausted and need some sleep, I can't even work on my current WIP until I get at least 8 good hours worth. This is the site I got my profile from and t

I had a terrible and wonderful thing happen to me 2 weeks ago now! What I thought was my Monitor dying turned out to be a dying graphics card. I bought one of the "New Technology" monitors with "IPS" technology included. My monitor came from "Asus" and to be honest, I wouldn't buy from them again because they provided No driver for their monitor and No "Color Profile" software.

I got some great information from Xiandi (Cyndie) the other week or so. The standard text color of black text can actually be changed in the sub-section of coloring in SKS that gives you the Windows "Default colors". Because I'm still getting used to Photoshop again after over a 10 year absence, I haven't tried changing that standard text color of black yet because All of the non-skinn

I agree with "RND" and "Doortech1", being able to see ratings and names in the old version of Windowblinds was a real bonus. I installed it and was a bit disappointed with the new interface. The problem I had though wasn't with the interface at all.... I actually had to uninstall the new version because they advanced the programs abilities to where parts of certain skins features were now being applied to the non-skinned app Photoshop. I had my menu bar taken over by gradients and transpa

I finally just took my favorite skins and did some windowblind color, texture and font changes. That will allow me to keep my favorite dewsigns on the screen for linger periods. Eventually, I'll take the skins into SKS to make more specific changes. I've looked all over and still havn't found a tutorial on making windowblind textures. I guess when all else

Thanks for the input Jafo, I do know how hard it can be when trying to get wider contraswt between fonts and backgrounds. I downloaded Neone6's latest skin yesterday and because I liked it so much, I took it into SKS and adjusted font color in sections and transparency settings in a few other places just so I can keep his wonderful design on my machine without getting eye strain. <span style="fon

I've been downloading skins here since 2007 and Love all the wonderful artistic talent I've seen with all of the skins. I've only had one occaisional problem and it may be the contrast level of my monitor. In a few of the skins I've downloaded, the contrast difference between type color and element background has been a bit close so it makes it hard to read some of the type. I know how hard it is to

I've noticed that a lot of you have many windows in your preview pics of new skins. I only have Alt + prntscrn here. I've seen the aero peek being displayed as well as active programs in the taskbar and would like to make a preview that includes these things also. If you skiners have a method to do this, please let me know. <span style="font-size

Hi Vampothika, I finished Asian Red and it's with Xiandi for evaulation, I did have to make some changes to it though, I couldn't change the text font or color in the vertical taskbar "Activate" button so I made a new image and lightened up the active button so it could be read. Funny thing though, the same thing happened with this Abstract skin.... I'm wondering if it's an SKS flaw or just my scre

Here is my current work in progress. "Abstract" is still in it's creation stage but the more I learn about Photoshops 3D section, the more I like it. It's been 7 months now since I started skinning and re-learning Photoshop CS6 Extended and although I've learned a lot about the 3D section, it will be at least another year before I get through the basic sections of the program enough to feel competent. <
-It won´t ! The 125% setting is making all sorts of Resizing & stretching so you " Can read " text etc better and takes no pardon to "Skinning apps" such as Windowblinds or Skinstudio"
Well, I tried it and stil the same problem so it's back to 100% for me, my old eyes will just have to squint more.

Hey Doortech, I just posted the above comment and didn't even see that you'd written again. I thank you very much for pointing out the start button images that wern't positioned right. I did take it down right away and corrected the problem. I'm quite embarrased that I overlooked that placement when making the skin. My only defense is that those darn inner shape layers were giving me fits because I

Just to let you all know.... my Win7 font display size had been set to 125% for my old eyes. I changed it back to 100% and re-made the start menu for my WIP (Asian Red). I did make a few changes by dropping down the "All Programs " insert so I would have some painting room at the bottom of my programs menu, that also helped a lot and finally things lined up on the start menu. Even my sub-style applied without mis-m

Thanks Doortech fror the information, all this time I thought the height for the all programs section was 30 pixels and have been sizing accordingly. I know I used to keep my desktop fonts at 125% so I willl recheck t5hat too. At least this gives me a starting point for re-cutting my current Start menu. Please never take offense when providing possibilities as you never know what will turn on that lightbulb in my head. Now I have some guides to re-set in Photos

Thanks for the info Lightstar and Dave. I do have aa habit of adding about 20-30 pixels to the bottom of the places list after I upload a skin, That way, it aligns fine when applied to my machine. I've tried reducing the number of recent programs being displayed and reducing the amount of programs showing in the places section also but to no avail. You'll notice that each of my first two skins use seperate

Hi All you skinners out there. I have been having this problem ever since I started skinning. I make my start menu properly and it applies fine on other people's computers but on mine, the lower left ande right sides don't match up. I know it's partly due to having to paint the bottom of the right side more to get it to align in SKS. Someone must have gone

Hi All, I installed the new version of Skin Studio last night and went to Sardock's info page on the program. Apparently this new version has many advances like being able to skin Windows Media player plus many other features. I read both the intro section and the tutorial section but when I opened the new version... I
