" faster performance is due to stripping out the gfx layer, adding another is going to reverse the (small) increase in redraw. 'Modern' apps aren't modern. It doesn't even run on W7. As soon as i install it it crashes explorer in a loop so you have to restore to get rid of it. Stardock 'support' told me it was my videocard driver and i should update them. But i am using the latest Catalyst for my Radeon HD6970. After that Stardock 'support' was silent. So i told them they could keep the 10$ as a lesson for me to not advice people to buy the product.

Tablets are a fad that'll blow over sooner rather than later. They're practically useless at anything but playing simple games and social networking. Unless forced by circumstances i don't see average joe user to fork out for cloud computing, nor do i seen any practical use for it for them. As gadgets go they're attractive. But i got so tired of lugging them around i just put one in every room and use them as either entrainment center front ends or smart tv add-ons.</p

Retrofitting the blinds to work with WB8 won't be easy. The 'clunkiness' will still be part of the deal, or Stardock has rewrite the whole sublayer and incorporate it in WB as MS takes pieces out of till all traces of aero are gone.
