Looking mighty fine so far. I am hoping that the spread of cards in the main window is a mechanic that allows you to choose one of several spells in a certain school to research. But we will see...

I think the sacrificing of a virgin daughter is a wonderful idea. Of course, it leads to the idea of having to fight off random suitors in order to keep her suitably virgin... But this may be getting a little too complex. (Maybe we can mod something in later ;) )
"In MoM, if you "died" you could cast the spell of return to get back into the game. It had a couple of caveats though: 1. you needed to have enough magic available to cast it. 2. You couldn't do any other magic while you are "away". 3. Casting the spell could take quite a number of turns during which your troops had to fend off the enemy without support." I also feel this is the superior method of handling prime Avatar death. So long as there is
I like a 'risky' retreat option. I think first you should have to disengage your units, and move a certain distance away from the assault point. Then you can attempt a retreat, but some units will almost certainly be lost as you leave the field of battle. It would be optimal to be able to designate a certain number of units as 'blockers', from which group the units killed in the retreat would be chosen from. My optimal system would be where you must choose 2/3s of your units to be nea
In images two and four, we can see top down views od two obvously different cities. These shots make it obvious that individual building graphics are in place for different structures that you create, which is wonderful. The orientation of them, however, makes me curious as to whether the placement is random or user driven. From the images, it could be either...

I support the idea of an option at the setup if a player wants a dominating or genders treated as equals.[/quote] But under the 'traditional' system, I don't think that males ARE the dominating gender. It is true that male children would inherit the birthright to future generations they were part of, but it is a yin/yang relationship. Females are required for strong diplomatic ties. They should giv
Well, I don't know about the whole degrading women just for historical accuracy part, but I do agree that it just makes more sense from a historical viewpoint for the father to have 'first dibs' on any progeny. I think that daughters should have the option of being trained also, but in less warlike pursuits. They should be able to gain population growth bonuses, mana boosting bonuses, and the like. Of course, it would be nice if you could TRY to train them in warlike pursuits, but it
I took your quiz, and opted for maximum user input, however: All of these things should be bound together, I think. The soveriegn controlling the father of the child should get control of the child... TO BEGIN WITH. He should then be presented with options in certain years (turns) as the child ages. These choices can effect the outcome of the child's future, however, each choice should have a chance of failing. The more powerful the bonuses each choice gives, t
