One thing that feels like an obvious omission for me is a sort of queued path when you are issuing move orders to units. X-COM did it with a running tally of available Action Points used to punctuate each square that you moved, Civ 4 did it with a number on the tile indicating how many total turns it would take at the current movement rate to reach the destination tile. I have the same screen issue when the Kingdom tab is active, although the pattern on my screen has a big square patch just right of the center and towards the top of the screen that renders normally. Almost like an overlay is being drawn and then doesn't die when the Kingdom info is closed. Edit: In my case, I believe that it may have been due to me having disabled Advanced Lightning. If you have your rally point set to a sector that contains a fleet, they will autojoin when they enter. This is the case for everything save for a couple of utility ships, as far as I have seen.
