Crap. I ordered the download version only before the start of BETA 2. I then upgraded to the LE box version 18 days ago because of bandwidth restrictions. I have the e-mail saying my card was charged but it doesn't show up under My Account only the DD version. Anyway that can be resolved or is it a mistake and also I have been asking without reply are the boxed versions in the mail yet?[/

From what I understand, if you didn't buy it before they started the processing earlier tonight you won't be able to get it until release time now. After all, an early release was essentially stardock's pre-order bonus. One day before release barely counts as pre-order. But you never know, they might let later preorders get it. Maybe they'll do it again tonight *shrug*
I absolutely loved silent storm, especially with whatever fan balance/fix mod there was for it. Can't remember now what it was called... The wanzers were kind of silly/not needed but they were cool at the time. X-Com was fun the first couple times I played it on a demo disc from Computer Gaming World magazine years and years ago... but I never got too into it. Most of the remakes are very poor replacements. Gaming-wise it seems like Stardock sticks to 4X games, and galci
the multipliers being literally multiplied together instead of added is counter-intuitive. Most game systems (especially MMOs) tend to avoid this, to avoid people getting too many multipliers that can break a game. For a TBS, it should work fine. Its not like there are twenty thousand items and a total of twenty different slots that could all have that same category multiplier. Theres just so many buildings for a city, right? Amazon has a 10$ games credit on both editions but this is still cheaper for the limited edition. If I wasn't strapped for cash i'd probably cancel my amazon basic game order and get this. I'll also vouch for buy.com being reputable. I've bought quite a few things from them, and this is a first party sale so it should be very smooth. You wouldn't get this on release day with free shipping though. But i'd imagine yo
This can be contrasted with Stardock games, which I've never heard of anyone pirating, even people who normally pirate everything prefer to purchase legally when it's Stardock. Though that's based on personal experience, and might not be indicative of larger trends, as far as I know.
Demigod was a major release from Stardock and their servers tanked the first few days from all the pirates playing. This trashing of indie developers cannot continue. And wow, thanks for the early release. Not completely understanding the business side, what damage is done when a few copies get sold a couple days early?
I would presume the damage thats done is pretty theo
lol wow, the screenshots on the store page really need some updating then. The stuff from later in 2009 is just WOW! especially comparing it to the earlier stuff. But seriously I thought the early-mid 2008 stuff was what this year's beta looked like. I hadn't really looked into it too much before today. Too often i've read on forums about elemental, but I never saw up to date screenshots. If you think about this game like GC2, just imagine how it could look after a couple of years and
I had heard of this game somewhat in the past, but I never looked too deeply. I saw the early screenshots (including the one of a lame looking castle that really turned me off at the time) So i'm bored and notice it on impulse and see if the beta is still going on... and lo and behold the game is coming out in less than four days. But before I noticed the release date... earlier this week I busted out Master of Magic through dosbox, I played most of a game... I quickly
