If I could change something it would be to instill in people two of my personal beliefs... 1) As humans we move toward and become like that which is uppermost in our minds. In other words our present thoughts individually or collectively as a society tend to create our future. 2) True and lasting change first starts on the inside and works its way out. It is a do-it-yourself project requiring commitment and more importantly action. Laws won't do it - external force won't do it

I have read that there is an issue with Max 9 and Vista. I think there is a patch available but you would have to do a search for it - memory fails me where I saw it. I am eager to see this finished too - and I too fall into the 17% - 35% of the population that sneezes at bright lights. :CONGRAT:

Everybody has a different experience but over the last two days I have thrown stuff at Vista that I expected to cause it to just roll over and die but guess what...it handled it all flawlessly. Just two examples... Loaded a game that was from 2001 - never even hesitated to install and run. Setup a wireless all-in-one printer and got it connected to a TS via RDP with a USB connection in the middle...for those techies out there this should be an OMG moment. So

Daygo - at this point I am in agreement - get someone to look at it. If there is a good restore on your drive you don't want to lose it. It is very hard to troubleshoot the kind of problem that you have without sitting at the keyboard. It sounds as if you do have some access to your drives if you were able to get on the Internet. With this, an experienced tech may be able to help you a lot.

Daygo - are you using Vista? If so, do you believe you have a restore and you just can't get to it? If this is the case let me know - I can tell you a secret as to how to get to it. I had something very similar happen then I found the trick.

That is right - if you are looking for true security from an outside threat a hardware switch will do it! I don't want to make you feel as if nothing you can do will work - I will just add though - remember - the exposed computer can hold a virus that will launch as soon as it sees a new network connection - such as when you flip the switch on the secured computer. I am getting more convinced, in my case, it is a Vista issue. I am not suggesting in any way that CXP Plus isn't working as designed it was not intended for Vista. I just thought if anyone else is experiencing what I am they might be able to keep struggling along until the update comes out. Besides I am bored...so this keeps me busy.

Just adding to this issue. I have identified some of the issues at least for me. First of all for me it is the combination of Firefox and CursorXP (don't use IE so I don't know if it the same there). Second I also found out that if vista changes to standard graphics due to a Quicktime page or other graphics requirements I see CursorXP pretty much stop and CPU usage goes through the roof for CursorXP. In addition, CursorXP memory usage goes to 4 times normal. The only w
