@ Jalicos While I have friends who come over to play console games and PC games there are differences. You example is slightly skewed. Street figher or even rockband as an example. One TV, one Console, one game, four controllers, four people can play sure.. Not all games allow you to do that. A lot of games and newer ones too do not allow for split screen or single console play; I have a second 360 and a lot of double games just for that reason. Whe
Quoting Frogboy, reply 48 The only downsides are for those users who expect to have 1 license serve all their friends or LANs that have no Internet access at all. Not reasonable for a middle or lower class family where the father has 5 sons and/or daughters above 8 years old... $300.oo just so the family can play the game together... PLUS multiply the cost if they wish to play any expansions released.&nb
Sadly I have always had bad experiences with play by email with Civilization being some of the worst. I guess it tends to be the people I play with and the person who organizes it. :(
You only have to run Impulse for the initial install and for any updates. After that, you can uninstall it straight from your computer if you'd like (and never update again, of course )
You can always give Impulse a Try I have both Impulse and Steam and Impulse is a way "lighter" launch pad. No evasive software or anything like that. Mind you if you start to download 3rd pary games through Imp
Stardock always seems to be full of good stuff!
Bad ass! I love when games ship with more lore and history. Bioware does a great job with the codex in Dragon Age. Good to see we will get a physical copy here! Good luck with your book! I hope to see the series continued! If you ever want to do a signing let me know we are only a little over a state away! ;)
I can't wait for this book. My girlfriend works at a bookstore, which means I should be getting it soon. However I've read that the Collectors Edition also comes with a book of sorts? Is this the same novel or different? The book also comes with a campaign based. Does this take place before or after the campaign that ships with the game? 10 more days or so to wait! :D
Wow good stuff! Can't wait for the campaign!
Thanks for the insight on the process! Very interesting! Good luck with gold, I got a Collectors edition and a digital edition so I can't wait!
I thought Stardock and Valve (or at least Impulse and Steam) were competitors. But earlier today I found Elemental on Steam for 10% off. Reduced 55%Original 1024 x 737
' Wot a lil wanka!
Because pathing alone can't do it. On land, you can trace pathfinding between any two points. You can't do that if you have to load the units onto a transport, calculate a path for the transport, and then unload at the other end. Loading/unloading creates a much more complex problem. It looks like Civ5, which has a big development budget, has to some extent given up on the problem by having land units be able to a

Thats the point. You are playing an unfinished version of the game and testing different functions out. The whole point is almost to see what doesn't work. starcraft 2 had a beta to test game play, elemental's was for almost for everything and i was it is quit horrid with all the c
I don't mind "kill a billion enemies" achievement ... but yea "die 150 times by cliff diving" is retarded. At least, its retarded if its something people GO OUT OF THEIR WAY to do, instead of some inside joke about a level's difficulty.
Yeah I like to be rewarded for my achievements not punished. I hate jumping online in a game to see someone whos obviously trying to get ah achievement as he runs around only using
You know whats awesome about achievements. Thats exactly what they are. If you don't like them, you don't have to do them and the game still plays the same for you. That being said I enjoy them to a limited extent. I walk away from playing a game with a little more than just a save file and hours of my life gone. I really hate those hard or retarded achievements. Kill 10000000000 enemies. Or die 150 times by walking off an edge.

FFH was created as a throwback to Master of Magic. If you haven't tried Fall From Heaven 2 for Civ IV you probably should! Anyway thats would I like to play! Fall from Heaven is being turned into a actual game.
<
