Also, are henchmen meant to be male only? Seems that the henchmen button could be an on/off selector and the sex could be picked afterward.

I think the dynasty system was flawed, but think that it had more positive aspects than negative. If it could be preserved, if only to provide successors for fallen leaders (and potential heroes), I think this would add additional depth and flavor to the game. I imagine a bleak, scary start, where the only heroes available are those of your own family (and a Janusk like advisor). This also brings a potential 'loyalty' rating to heroes. I remember extending gameplay during Genghis Khan
My game is now unplayable. [esc] takes me out of the game. Please help.
In one game, due to the 'Janusk Forever' bug, I renamed one of the clones Zartan and change the quote to 'Let's fuck this shit up." Coincidentally, it also changed the quote on all the other clones, including Janusk. So I now have a legion of amped up, swearin' Janusk clones ready to break stuff. Thank you Stardock! It's all I really ever wanted... [e digicons]:')[/e]
I have this bug in every game I've played.
Also individual faction specific armore and weapons (types and graphics), please! Like the Kraxis should have 'fallen paladin' type gear, and the Urxen should have spikes and wickedly serrated weapons...
These are all great! I would love to see the addition of more spell books too. I miss 'lycanthropes' from old MoM, or even Black Channels (or Chaos Channels), and really feel like my citizens need to be tortured and warped through spells like these :) Tactical summons (Fire Elemental) were cool too. I do like how you can discover the spell books of old mages as tier 3 adventure spot rewards (although I can't seem to find the related spells in my book, hmmm), and think more 'discovery onl
I posted this a little earlier, but wanted to see what everyone thought. I think a possible solution to the 'too few resources' problem, is to add more resources, but vary the type. Just as apiaries/wheat/fertile land have different values (same w/ clay pit/marble quarry, and iron/ventri mines), maybe more lesser resourse nodes should be added. For instance, maybe a spent cop
I think a possible solution is to add more resources, but vary the type. Just as apiaries/wheat/fertile land have different values (same w/ clay pit/marble quarry, and iron/ventri mines), maybe more lesser resourse nodes should be added. For instance, maybe a spent copper mine (from the 1st age) that only gives .3 or .5 metal per turn, but allows access to metal . Or City Ruins, which could add 1 material/1 tech per turn. In this way, even if secondary cities aren't gett
Game is shaping up nicely, but are we ever gonna get some true random maps up in this piece? The mod, while good, just ain't cutting it...
Actually that would be like the old KOEI games, where you could select what to do w/ captured generals. That also brings up the matter of loyalty...
So why can't I update through Impulse?
Howdy! I asked this in another forum, but that became a flame war and I was ignored. But not flamed, so that's a 50-50 push:) When will true random maps be added? Thanks! Also no flames, let me get this answered:)
Since there's no word on my map question I'll add to this discussion. Master of Orion II, also made by the same company that made Mom, the inspiration of this game solved the problem decades ago. There were 'domestic' heroes (who would gain levels occasionally) that would add their abilities to the assigned star system (translated to city in E:WoM), and 'war' heroes, who were assigned to units. In the case of the 'war' hero, I prefer the MoM model, where at high levels they were equal
Quick question in the midst of this debate- are true random maps going to be included in 1.1? Sorry if I missed this somewhere else...but it had built up so much and formed such an integral part of MoM/4x experience I'd hate to see it left behind.
I have never posted before. I think I will now. Expectations were high. But they always are. Christmas morning is once a year. The game is good, if a little bland RIGHT NOW. I'm sure it will change. More NPC's, you can only marry Relias so many times, and random quests a la (sorry) Civ 4 (Forges, Islands, Libraries, Coliseums, ets...) add spice. Random maps help. Factions are fun. Some things don't work. They will. But this should be a priority. Minor factions should b
