Just a couple of thoughts on LH beta after a couple of games played: - I like the new champion leveling system but the fact that champions level so slow defeats the purpose of the new system. It killed the fun for me. Splitting experience between champions needs to be abolished in order to make leveling faster and the game more fun in this respect. Actually instead of nerfing speed boosting buffs I would prefer more speed lowering spells. Taking WOW as inspiration, you could use the water line to introduce all kinds of freezing spells that slow down enemy units, or give you a % chance to slow down enemies. You could have spells in the earth line that throw up rock walls on the battlefield and you could put lightnig spells in the air line that stun opponents for a turn or two. Hola all. A quick comment/idea about champions and gaining spell levels. I find that having all champions with the same level of spell school ability, all having the exact same spells is kinda dull. What would make things much more interesting would be if, when a champion gains a spell level, you had him choose which spells he would learn. Hola all. I started my first game at .915 and a ways in i realized all the producition in my city had stopped and I couldn't figure out why (taxes were at none). I finally noticed that someone (resoln I think) had cast antipathy on my city nine times. The only thing is, I hadn't made contact with any AI players yet. How can they start casting on my cities if we haven't discovered each other? I'm guesssing (hopeing) this is a bug. HAve a good day all :)

I've just returned to elemental after playing Wom for a couple of weeks then uninstalling it. I've been curious about the direction FE has taken so I decided to try out the beta to see how I liked it. I started with beta three and have played a bit with .913. After alot of trying, I have finally been able to disembark units from transports. Park the ship next to a beach tile, left click on the unit on the ship to select and then Right click on the beach tile to unload. The problem is that you only seem to be able to do this one unit at a time and when you disembark one unit it switches to its info so you always have to go back and re-select the boat to disembark the next unit. I just found out in one of my games that blistering sands will clear forest (and leave a desert tile) as will casting greater raise land and then lower land (this will leave a clear tile). The former also costs 2 or 3 less mana.

Hey I didn`t realise until the other day that I could clear forests in this game. There are two ways. Casting blistering sands on a forest tile will do it or cast greater raise land followed by lower land (uses less mana overall). Just a FYI if ya didn`t know :)

Some thoughts about the game after playing 10 games or so the last two weeks. I'll try not to mention things that have already been mentioned alot on these forums (lack of diversity in spells/factions/units, AI to easy ect.) - Would like to be able to re-marry if my spouse dies and we haven't had children yet. The biggest killer about this game for me personally is the lack of diversity in the factions, units, races ect. I know that this has been mentioned often in the forums but this is one of the biggest issues for me so I wanted to mention it again. How about allowing units to train special abilities. Reply to transports in War of Magic

Took me awhile to figure this out myself. Like slider said, you have to find a land "low point", move your transport next to it, select the troop in the boat and then right click to the land square you want to unload at. The trick is trying to identify "low points" on the cloth map (since the 3D map for me is so slow I'm afraid to go to that view in fear of a freeze or crash hehe).

Just wanted to mention something quickly. When I first downloaded the game I couldn't even play because the game kept on freezeing on me after a few minutes no matter what I was doing (sandbox, campaign, or editors). After the last couple of patches, I have finally been able to play without freezes. Last night I played for hours without crashes. Just wondering if someone who is a bit computer savvy (which I am not unfortunately) could point me in the right direction. The game freezes on me after a few minutes making it unplayable.
