As PapBek said, once a city gains a few resources the "open tiles" info disappears off the city's HUD... it might still be there, but "pushed" off the HUD by other stuff.

I'll third this request! Summon Strategy Forum!
Units have upkeep per turn... even peasants... so you might be getting negative cash flow for that. I didn't notice this unti later. A warning about negative cashflow might be nice in the future.
Yes, the tutorial is much much better now. Good suggestions for additional material.
It's up! Go get it boys and girls!
Very cool idea. I approve of this message ;)
THis post is made of epic win! ;)
Wow! Now that's an epic batlle. I'm happy to see that the reason you were having such a seemingly easy time on the Yithril front wasn't the AI's inability to defend, but that the AI was beating someone else up on his other front and then doubling back to attack you. I'm glad Verga escaped. Now I'm interested in seeing how well him and you recover from this battle. I'm looking forward to the next installment. Here's a couple quick questions: 1) How would you rate Verga's tactical
I changed the font color to orange... I think it's nicer on the eyes ;)
So what four elements are you most looking forward to in regard to Elemental: War of Magic? My four are: 1) Strategy/RPG mix: I like games that blend/bend genres and since I love both strategy and RPG games, I can't resist these when they are forged into one game, especially fantasy games. I especially like the idea of the sovereign as a unit on the board and having to make tough decisions between being a leader and an adventurer. I'm a huge fan of the customizing of the sover
Raven X, Glad you liked the art... and yeah, orange might work better next time ;) Best Wishes, Joseph
Here's my first lame attempt at Elemental humor:
I also noticed that Tarth's units on the diplomactic screen were way more valued than your own units... I take it those were NPC adventure types with some serious XP behind them. It's good to know you can trade for those types of units, but it won't be easy to steal them on the cheap. 100 turns to mature... hmmm... that means about 6 turns a year if we assume the child starts adventuring around age 15-16. Sorry... geek mode kicked on.
Wintersong , Dejavu! I think I've seen those topics on another forum... except for the Frogboy babies one... and I'd rather not see that one.
Oh... I just thought of a good question: So was it worth it to bribe Tarth? What aid in the war did they send? Did you find the AI to be good in following through on their declaration of war? Thanks, Joseph
Very interesting game play example. It's too bad that the AI didn't attack or defend as well as it could, but as you said it'll take some time to get the AI thinking about all the little things that us mere mortals spend far too much time agonizing over. I'm really looking forward to your next installment and keep up the humor, it's definitely fun to read. ;)
Keep the suggestions coming... I'm enjoying both the serious and not so serious responses. ;)
Would it be wrong to have the game mailed to me during vacation (I know where I'll be staying) on the off chance that I might find a computer somewhere to play it on? Or does that sound a bit obsessed?
Hello All, So I've made the dreadful mistake of having a vacation planned during the same week that Elemental comes out. I won't have access to my computer or the game and shall have to wait an extra week to get my hands on them. Do you all have any suggestions for helping me get through this terrible time of anticipation? Thanks, Joseph
