Did you complete the arena quest? Whenever I complete that the game runs fine for a few turns then crashes, and the savegames don't load, but only those after the quest, the ones before load up just fine.
I can confirm this, happens to me every time, even if there isn't a shrine built on the shard (any shard). By the way, why can't we corrupt life shards?
