Perhaps it could effect shrines as well or instead. Shrines that are in season might produce bonus mana, where as if it's in it's "bad" season might produce none.

Why not have the time of year effect in a positive or negetive way, Elemental Magic? Summer - Boots Fire magic /hinders Water magic Fall - Boots Air magic/hinders Earth magic Winter - Boosts Water magic/hinders Fire magic Spring - Boosts Earth magic/hinders Air magic
I just had this problem in 1.09u in fact, the game seems to have stopped. It started slowing down in a tactical battle, then stopped for about five minutes during an attack action. Then resumed again at a normal clip. When the battle ended and I got back to the Campaign map, I ended turn and the game stopped. Its still very early in the game on a 64x64 Elementerra Generated map. Four AI opponents on Hard, pacing set to fast.
Feedback First off, allow me to state that I really love what you guys have done with the game. I think you are defiantly moving in the right direction. Is it possible to mod spears in the game to always strike first when attacked? If so how would one go about this?
