Yes, but you didn't answer my question. The tech Space Weapons allows the Particle Beam and the 'Defender' pre-made design. But the gun model on the Defender looks much different than the particle beam I'm allowed to select. I'm wondering why I'm able to build that ship, but not build custom ships with that particular gun on it. (even if I edit the Defender the weapon disapears and I have to use the default model of the particle beam). My question is, is it possible to use that gun-mode

Hi I just picked up the game and have a quick question. I just got the tech that allows the defender. However the model of the gun on the defender is different than the model allowed when I'm making my own design. Is their a way to scroll through models that I'm missing? Is this gun model only allowed on the pre-made Defender? Just curious. thanks
