Earth 2100 can be seen free on U-Tube ( like in 9 10 minute segments ). Life after people was shown on the History Channel, and may be available throuh their website........

My idea was to use the Dreamlands setting..... Outer gods, Earth's Gods ( Bast; Thoth ); Great Old Ones all can come into play..... But in the Dreamlands , time and space function differently ( More like a traditional "fantasy" setting). Additionally, say the idea is that a devastated Dreamlands of the future was being rebuilt by new "Dreamers" (Sovereigns)...... <span style="font-siz
This was a great thread...... Think about all the shows on history channel on this topic, such as "Life After People", or the one about people living after most technology and the rule of law fails. Another good show on the topic was EARTH 2100. The oil running out is a real problem..... Likely we will still need it for plastics, whatever energy we ultimately convert to, but likely the U.S. has enough plastic in landfills to last for at least the next 200 years or so.
Why not a Mod based upon races and ideas from the Cthulhu Mythos ? Perhaps with a "Dreamlands" basis, as EWOM will be a more fantasy based system. Mythos "Deities" and Great Old Ones could be powerful
Also agreed. The idea of moral and unit effectiveness was a big part of my thread on persistant status effects. Magic (or unit abilities) should have the potiential to place poison, insanity, (possibly domination effects by an enemy) that persist even after a battle and have strategic consequences for a surviving unit after a battle. Units that have a break in moral and sucessfully flee the battle, would remain on the strategic map, and may be rallied by a nearby friendly hero.
I would like to see several additional damage types added to the tactical combat section of the game. Fire, cold and various weapon types of damage have already been included. I would like to see some Status effect types of damage added that could be either creature, item, or magic effects. Such Status effects are frequently seen in fantasy settings and add a new layer to tactical ( and sometimes strategic ) c
