My fundamental issue with Elemental is that there are no battle fronts! Firstly, right off the bat, it is painfully obvious that neither my nor enemy cities are in any way unfortified...Ermmm...after some research I've produced a hedge. "I'm so glad Stardock has such great post-release support." Huh!? Stardock has released Elemental in early Beta form, in case this has eluded everyone. They've been using sales of this unfinished product to complete their game. The state of graphics alone looks like concept drawings rather than a finished concept.
When I enable 3-D / higher graphics for the world map, my characters sink into the ground so that only their heads are visible when I attempt to zoom in on them. Given the fact, that this is the very first thing that I see when I load or start a campaign, I would expect such a bug from an early-stage Beta, not from a marketed product. Very poor work! P.S. This game features one of the most useless game manuals ever written!
