Regarding tough monsters in the early game or actually monsters in general: I think they should only be able to raze cities with low population - say 1 or 2. As punishment for being uncareful. Larger cities should be: - raided by bandits etc., i.e. you lose gold, some population, all production and research for the turn and have unrest for a given number of turns, because people are afraid, since you cannot protect them - ravaged by mons

Some more bugs and also balancing issues that appeared for me: 1. +1 movement for all units in army seems to be cumulitive (compass). My units can almost teleport across the map. 2. In the side view under "units" sometime caravans that have arrived at their destination still remain. This leads to obscenely many caravans "hiding" the actual units & heroes. Maybe make another side view for hereos? Definitely make sure caravans travelling between cities are hid

In short: I was a big fan of dynasties. I do hope they stop making the kids rediculously overpowered and produced at insane rates, but other than that: please bring back marriage & children. It kind of made it feel like building a real dynasty out of nothing. And I also agree with the idea of allowing your kids to marry normal heroes as well - just as you could.

I have to strongly take the point of wanting my two queues back. It was one of the things I loved the most about E:WOM. 1. It is much more realistic. Obviously any town can build buildings at the same time as training units (or people in general). In principle, training troups should mainly take time, while buildings should require large amounts of materials. Each might also call for completely different resources (stone & wood for buildings, gold & iron for troups or

@Wizard1200: exactly. Or spells could become more powerful with level of caster or such...

So, played for roughly a day, here are my remarks: 1. Choosing a hooded cloak in character creation seems to remove any hairstyles and let the heroe go bold ;) 2. Wolf dens etc. do not show any indication of creature strength and no "ok" button for being done reading the message. 3. I cannot read the longer descriptions of buildings in the town window. They just end midsentence where the window ends. 4. Clouds seem to sometimes create graphic bug

I must also admit, that the whole mana thing should be reconsidered. A spell to transform shard is a must imho. Since you hardly ever find the ones you need :( Also, spellcasters are far too weak and tend to have too few spellpoints - at least for as long as I've played - especially if you distribute the spellpoints over multiple heroes. My heroe's "heal" spell still heals 8 hp. Every unit or creature currently deals 20+ hp damage per hit. So wh

Can only agree with the above posters. Please prevent razing cities in a single turn. Make it more difficult. For the puppet idea, a look at Civ V might be a good idea. Have the cities build what they want, but pay a certain percentage of taxes to your empire...

Hey. I've been researching up to spell level 9. This takes a LONG time. However, it seems to do nothing. Even the spell of making is only level 5. Is there any sense to research higher spell levels than 5? I can even research 10 now... Thx

Hey! I accidentally posted here a couple of times with my real name as nick. Is it possible to either change the nick in my old posts to my current nick or to delete the posts? Thanks for any help.

First of all: thanks for the input everyone :) 1. Noticing that resources are indeed spread in an interesting way across the map. They seem to cluster tremendously. I just found an area with 2 mines, 2 libraries, 1 ancient lore, 2 gold mines, 1 forest all right next to each other. Maybe it should be spread a bit more evenly. 2. Will check the essence/2=enchantmen slots. I just hit my limit with my sovereign once, seems to be larger

Hey! So I've played for a bit now and it's all becoming clearer, however two questions are currently pestering me: 1. Food a) Ok, I know how to build a farm, but on the entire map - despite already whiping out another kingdom - I have not found any fertile ground other than the initial one. Is that a bad joke? b) When you research the tech that reveals two alternative food sources exactly two of them appear in my area of influence, which is nice

Cool, thanks. Guess I need rare resources or secrets of the nemesis. Will do my best :)

Hey! I've been playing for a while and things work reasonably well, though the large world is a bit barren. However, I now researches advanced armor or so and can't find a metal deposit of the type I need anywhere. Thus, I assume I need to research something else to even know how to find such metals, since new ressources seem to pop up now and then. My request thus is: can someone please tell me what resources exist and what prereqs (technologies) have<

I agree, I actually researched the food technology, hoping it would let me build the farm in the city screen only to find out later that all you have to do is click on it and I could've built it in the first couple days...

Thx so much, yedjin. I didn't find that thread initially, sorry. I wouldn't have started a new one otherwise...

The strategic casting menu is the one you get by clicking on the spellbook, I assume? I guess I never tried standing next to the city, I believe I tried from a bit away and from standing inside it, but will try again tonight. Thanks :)

Hi! I tried to play for two hours yesterday and researched two cool spells to cast on cities. One of them should increase food output by +1 permanently (I forgot the name). However, selecting the spell in the spell book and then the city didn't work. I got a red square marker on the map after selecting it, but it never turned green no matter where I pointed it and could never cast it. Also: is there no upkeep to these spells?
