I just want to say thanks to everyone involved in producing Fallen Enchantress. I think it is brilliant.

In my opinion it is hardly ever a good thing to remove freedom of choice from the player. If there are good gameplay reasons for encouraging certain choices over others, reward those choices and progressively penalize the undesirable ones. Those who want to snake should still be allowed to do so if they are willing to accept the penalty. If the penalty starts off small and progresses, there will come a point where they no longer wish to do it - the choice, however, rema
Well, it does seem as though it was Novice causing the problem somehow. Not having played WoM, I decided to use Novice for a while just to have a look around, but the game crashed so quickly that I didn't get the chance to see much! I tried this 6 or 7 times with same result as Greg_B - then I read his reply to my post and tried again using Normal difficulty. Since then I have been playing at least six times as long as I was able to before and it hasn't crashed yet.&
Greg_B, that's exactly what I have been doing so-far. I'm going to try what you did. Lord Reliant, thanks for the tip - I didn't know that I could Alt+Tab out. I shal certainly check that.
That's an interesting link, and having read it it doesn't sound as though that is the cause of my problem. However, it never ceases to amaze me how wrong I can sometimes be . . . .
No, I haven't yet as it is normally so stable, but intend to do so if problem persists.
Thank you both for your help. I have been posting crashes including links to the requested files and so-far have been able to also include Save files which duplicate the crashes. I shall persevere and see how things develop. I was interested to hear that WoM (which I do not have) had difficulties with high-end machines though. Do you know what caused them, M'lord?

I have only started half-a-dozen games since downloading the Beta (0.86), but so far have not been able to play any of them for longer than 40 minutes before it crashes. I am a first-time Beta user and would like to know whether this is fairly common. Many thanks.
Sorry! Believe I might have just inadvertantly posted this with just one link enclosed - all here this time. This crash can be duplicated with enclosed save file. The three files linked to this post I have numbered 02 as I already have similar files linked to you in Dropbox. To duplicate crash: Move army one tile North, attack Ogre, attack mites, move army one tile South; Move Pioneers 2 tiles South to complete turn. On following
On following turn attempted to move army South and Windows 7 reported program had encountered error and terminated game.
Enclosed savefile duplicates this crash on second move SE through forest. Programme Data link and Savefile link enclosed.
