Majority of endgame battle I played are choatic. Like in a very Huge map in Dominion 3, age of wonder games, and many other similar games that you have to controll muitiple individual units pieces on the map. Give heros general skills rating, so that they can act like another AI player but you have control on what he will do. This will lessen the amount of micromangement in the game. And let you focus on the main plan to defeat your enemy

So far all the post I read about regarding weapon are about its damage types like cutting, and blute. But what about the weapon Range for both melee and range type weapons? Also how many different types of weapon are available in the game? what are the weakness and strength compare it to other weapons?
All TC should be finished in 12 turns
I'm not sure if I like that idea. I understand if their a huge battle that will take over a hour to finished the whole tatical combat and it's a good idea to put a limit to it, but 12 turns? I rather let the suppy that my troops carry be my timer for when my tactical combat battle is over or unless, if no side take damages within the first 15-2
Since Elemental war on magice will be centering on Human race, and human is a very fragil motal race. Hit Point should remain low and reseach techology shouldn't give any bounse HP point added to any units. To help unit stay alive, unit should rely not only their armor for def but mobility to avoid taking hits from blade, arrow, or fangs. Some of the way mobility can be use Mobility use as a defense, unlike def from armor, mobility are used to dog

Why game of chess or shogi or even Go are one of the best bord games? not because they are complex, but because they offer more possibilites, which is near infinites compare to a game of Tic tick toe. I didn't want to bring chess or go into this, but well: you say ch

I'm getting it perfectly straight, thanks. But it seems you don't understand that combat is related to the rest of the game in many ways and trying to look at it separated from the other game systems is a mistake.
yes and to make
OK for people like vicenteC and other keep saying about Civi 4 tactical combat system regarding the Elemental combat system. let get some of the things clear first. Civi4 doesn't really have a tactical combat system, why do I say what I just said? Firstly Civi 4 tactical combat system is just a rolling the dice to see who will win, The unit stat is just to give the odds of winning the fight. To be truly called tactical combat the player should have some

What do you mean dominions 3 is much simpler game overall than Elemental? Do you remember how complex is province building in Dominions? Can you customize units? Can you research technology? Dominions is a good game for the target Illwinder set to it, but that's a pretty different ta
Quoting Tormy-, reply 27 Huh? I don't understand your point. Dominions is a much simpler game overall than Elemental, that's why they can afford a pretty complex combat system (that is totally build around the concepts of human vs humand and play by mail). Elemental is a total different beast, even the game focus (single player) makes it totally different from a design perspective. Quoting Tormy-, reply 27What
