Do I unlock bows with the tecnology "Piercing Weapons"? Right?

Did they do the same with bows? Apparently I dont have bows in game...

What is the essence of units? I'm playing Elemental: War Of Magic v1.4, there is no essence anywhere, but some buildings help to improve that. How could this be?

Are there no bows in the game? I discovered the right tecnology but no trace of bows in the store or from units... Same if I find a bow in a random treasure chest, the game say to me "you got a Crude Bow", but nothing, I dont have it in my inventory... Why? Help.

I have a quest called "Escort Noblewoman". It is one of the first quest. My problem is that there isnt any woman to escort. Is this a spawn bug? I'm alone and when I arrive at the inn (where I have to escort her) nothing happen. Is this a bug? Is there a way to abandon a quest?

When I zoom there are no citizens in my cities! Is It normal? I see many screenshots of the game and I see a lot of people in the cities. help me!
