I would enjoy having this aswell
Solam
I certainly would enjoy something as EPIC as that! If it's possible I want to play a game with you guys!
I played GURPS, Dungeons and Dragons& and we still gather once every two weeks for a game. I just love playing even at 34! My girlfriend thinks I am a freak though...
I guess the more options we have the more the game as value IMO. If we can tweek the game we can create lots of different scenario in a sandbox game. Everybody here mentioned this I just thought I would too. The mroe the happier.
I have a 64 bit ready laptop (man it's new two months old) But i have a 32 bit os. Can I upgrade it to 64 bit and is that cheap or expensive? Thanks
We all rather know now and see what it looks like then to wait in ignorance. Moreover it's a way of doing business with stardock to get their customer input with the making of their games. If they want our input while they can still make major modification now is the time.
Anybody have some screen shots of the civ 4 fall from heaven? I do not have civ 4 I would like to see if it's worth buying first. Thanks
God I just love it when we have a good question like this and Management takes the time to answer us. It's way cool!
That's a good idea., more refined I like that :)
My very first game I played with on my tandy 16 was Champion's of Krynn. It was botchy and graphics were bad but I loved the game. I also still have eyes of the Beholder the box and the hintbook. Never wanted to get rid of it. It was way cool. I guess at 34 I am getting old :p
Why not thinking in "reveers". you don't really gain much xp, just "temporary" abilities. And they become permanent only if you fight enough to make them persistant That's the way we learn
I was thinking more or less the same as you. You get a certain kind of hero that as the potential to do different things and depending how he or she is used she levels in regards to the play style. I would still like
Sounds like a wireless keyboard would be a worthwhile investment for you!
It's worse then that LOL I have a laptop so it as nothing to do with mobility. The reason why I want a button on screen is I slouch on my sofa with the laptop on a little table far away and I do not want to be bothered with a keyboard necessary key. I know I'm lazy when I play my 4x games :p I'm sure it's not something that will be hard to add!
I do not like anything to do with real-time. I do not like being rushed. I do not like having to look at all of my troops all at the same time and be expected to react to them all. I do not like having to stay beside my keyboard because I might have to touch space to pause the game. (I play galciv with my mouse only. The only time I touche the keyboard it's to rename stuff.) 1- I hope that it's going to be turn base. 2- If it's not, I hope it will be turned base
I think we all forgot one vital point. We are all thinking about hiring or convincing a Dragon to work for us. I wonder if by actions and or battles one could come to loose the dragon he has. Maybe Mr dragon is rightious and you start killing the innocent and it turns on you. I find that idea very appealing also. Oh the chaos it could make... mouahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!
Spartan I gave you some Karma for this nice post. Saves me lots of time. Thanks a bunch
It would be my pleasure. I've nerver had this kind of apportunity. Way cool
IS it out yet? Mouahahahahahahaha
Dragons are neutral. They're not on your side unless you can recruit them. And they're not easy to recruit; your sovereign (your player character) might have to negotiate with them in person which, as you can imagine, is very risky, but the reward is very high. .
I just LOVE that idea. To actually go and negociate with a dragon is incredible! I wonder who is more powerful at the start of a game. Dragon or the channeler?
The trick to using magic effectively is by thinking of the most efficient means of doing something... Sure you could use fire to burn a bunch of peasants in one big incendiary pillar... But what would be MUCH more efficient would be to simply conjure a little bit of air straight into each soldier's brain. As long as you can conjure that cubic inch of air within an area of about a cubic foot accurately, it shouldn't be very difficult at all. That sort of accuracy is less than the accura
I always prefered turn base battles for these kinds of game. The reasons why I love 4x strategy game it's because ther is no stress and no need to rush. I am worried I will feel rushed with continious turns. I remember the game LORDS OF MAGIC where after a week I put the game away because battles were to complicated with so many troops all needing directions and all mving together all the time. There was no real possibility for me to create any strategy for battle. I prefer hexes and turns to
Random is the way to go. When you always know what spells you'll get you always research them the same way or at least it's unlikely to change your patterns. With a random element you get to adapt every game.
Hm, so let's hypothetically say that early on in the game, the player happens to encounter a small village of lizardmen? Rather than outright conquering it, perhaps the player could gain friendly relations with that village and plop down some sort of barracks/recruitment building and then... presto; Lizard Auxiliary Corps ftw. Perhaps such settlements could become protectorates or vassals? Just to act as another option to outright conquest. Didn't one of the devs mention so
Putting myself in the role of a Evil wizard near Demigod powers, I could not care less for a council. Secondly I would not put myself in a position where the other wizards could gang up on me by going to a meeting (I trust nobody being evil). If I want to negociate something I will use a spell to get in contact with the others. Something like the mirror in MOM. For me putting something like the UN in a fantasy game seems wrong somehow. Alliances are weak things because of distanc
Ooooh, does that mean I'll be able to have my knights ride pandas instead of horses?
I would go for a giant Badger!!! :)
The neutral cities are always a great ideas. They add a toch of uncertainty. I would like to see them but a bit more powerful then in mom. And maybe a b it more agressive.
