I had an amusing thought. Instead of kicking trolls off of a forum, you block them so that only they can see their own messages. That way they will just drift away once they realize they are not getting any responses (since we wont see what they are writing).

On another game producer's forum, (Matrix) they have a little green button you can hit which blocks all forum messages from that user from showing. So if somebody seems annoying, rather then feeding them by telling them they are annoying, you can just hit the little green button, and block from ever having to see them. By personally blocking, its like the troll doesn't exist. If enough people are blocking, the trol

I usually play with a pint of Guinness, in the early game, moving on several more in the mid game, to reach an unconscious endgame. Its good that you can get 3 heroes. There are some people who cant even get one. Your sovereign should be out getting exp with your other heroes...and should not be straying too far from home. Try not to wake up any big monsters early, And note there are some '

Yes...much better to let the computer pick it for you, with no input on your behalf...weee what a fun game you are proposing, I can hardly wait to just hit buttons and let the computer randomly do its thing. how EXCITING how REWARDING to have all the fun taken away from you. Its like letting random people pick a string of beans out of a basket of strings of beans sitting in front of you. lmao.

Randomness worked for Alpha Centauri because the techs were arbitrary in the first place. Because they are a 'futuristic' tech, they don't have to follow any sort of logical path. In a fantasy setting, you are still following a sort of historical path, with magic thrown in (mimicking a historical path). There are clearly techs which should come before other ones in the path. You shouldn't be ab

I (used to) follow a rather simple rule: Upgrade every second operating system. Luckily that meant I went from Windows 98 to Windows XP to Windows 7. I happily was using windows 7, and made no attempt to follow the development of 8. When the Surface was released, I bought one for my 10 year old daughter to use at school. And she finds it very simple to use. And it was my first exposure to Windows 8

Yeah, its not like Tom Chick is a widely read game reviewer who can influence the public into buying games... Nah..that couldn't be it. Lucky I have children so I find it easy to ignore willie. Lots of practice.

I want it ALL removed in one click. I didn't ask them to input your silly designs and I don't want that in my main core game. My designs are better anyway I don't just throw mine together without thought. If you don't want help, don't ask for it...<br /

I think the governors in this game follow more the Roman model. They would have made a name for themselves as Generals. Then they would learn bureaucracy by becoming a senator/politician. Then they get appointed to manage a province (city). From there they would still be in charge of a military, so could go afield if the need arose. Otherwise they would sit in the city and manag

Perhaps a different approach: Instead of trying to nerf the fun part of BeastLord (the search and taming), change how the beasts operate in combat. Make them AI only. Let the beasts be beasts. So you can still grow your menagerie, but will have some difficulty in controlling them in combat.

I use my own email address with a domain I bought linked through gmail to log into windows, and I use it to send/receive email with the email app. I actually had no intention of buying windows 8...never looked at any of the preview software, didn't bother reading anything about it. I have a rule about buying every second release, so I have managed to skip windows 2000, and windows vista. B

I am guessing maybe Arnor? I think it's the black isle or some shit, and someone went to it and it's forbidden...shit, I can't remember. There is something dark and secret there, so dark and secret, I don't remember it any more...but I knew it once...[/

While some games are a pain to use with my two monitors, this is not one of them. The game shows up on my main monitor, in the correct resolution. The scrolling is finicky, in that to scroll to the left (towards my secondary monitor) there is a sweet spot that makes it auto scroll. However, I usually just click and drag the map around when I need it, so I wouldnt call it a 'bug'. It shouldnt be too hard to set up the test for scrol

I noticed the tearing on beta, and also with the release. I should add that I notice the tearing on other games as well, (and have a card with problematic drivers) so I don't blame this game. On a whim, I turned off AA (set it to zero) and I have not seen any tearing since.

I would suggest you just delete the whole game off your hard drive and start over..... Run the installer again, then wait a bit, or go get a coffee. After you come back, the game should have finished the install and you can proceed with playing the game. If you play any games whatsoever, you probably already have DirectX
