Dude, (or Dudette), I had the same problem and their support peeps got me up and running. In fact, a LOT of peeps had that problem but it seems to be (mostly) straightened out now. Yeah, what he said, contact support.
Thanks Kyro. That little bit of info was vastly helpful. BTW, I'm not meaning to slam the game or the support people. I was venting my frustration about not knowing what had changed in the actual gameplay. You guys and gals have been consistantly responsive and helpful whenever i posted a problem. My hat is off especially to Seabass who insisted on providing help after i had given up on getting SoaSE to work.
Tech tree??? I can't find ANY info. Not a word about what has changed in the game. No explanation of new features or changed ones. I know something has changed because there are new options, but I don't know exactly what they do because I can find NO DOCS. None. I can flop at strategy and tactics without help, but at this point even playing at all is mostly guesswork, If I DID get docs with the download where are they? I looked everywhere but under my sofa,,,,

I have purchased many games and visited the support sites for all of them that I could. I have noticed a HUGE difference between this site and almost all of the others. Perhaps it is because you guys are independants and weren't properly trained on what these sites should do. I'll clarify it for you since no one else has bothered (that I'm aware of). A. What is the logic that explains researching a tech that is only applicable to ships built BEFORE the research? Seems bassackwards to me. Ship designs are highly unimaginative. I had the same problem and was given the option to send a message to Stardock but It not only asked for my e-mail, (which I expected) , it asked for what kind of structure is used by my server. I have NEVER had to give this information, I do not have this information, and untill today I didn't know that there were different structures. What happened to "simple" e-mail that didn't require a graduate degree? No one else has requested this information so why does Stardock need it?
You guys have it EASY !!! I tried to send an e-mail to report that I was having the "invalid code" problem and they wanted information about my server's protocols that i have never even heard of. Why is that necessary? I can't send an e-mail without explaining how to do it? Come on, get real :SNIFF!:

Wow,,, 1.34 hours reading ideas,,but here are mine,, When trading with another race I always have the message that my incredible diplomacy skills give me a massive advantage. Even if I have NO diplomacy skills and can't trade everything for impulse drive. Have the message set to properly describe our relative skills. Repair modules for starbases is almost a must-have. P p p p PLEASE. That's about all for me,,, I did see some good ideas posted but i will only mention these.<
