(Also applies to LH 0.5) When a game is started/loaded, the game (incorrectly) displays the default back-story ("far beneath the withered planes...") instead of the custom one entered into the designer. The correct back-story is shown in the character's "details" screen. P.S. (unrelated) My sovereign is a nobleman who fed off of the last resources available to the great houses of Resoln, during the collapse of the old-empire, to prepare himself to ru

This is a low priority issue, but I noticed that the installers downloaded from your website aren't digitally signed with your Comodo certificate. It shows all the big nasty warnings Windows gives you when you download and run an unknown exe from the Internet. Is there a specific reason for the installer to not be digitally signed, or is it just unimportant? Is file-size an issue? Or the fact that it's an archive? If possible, I think it would be better to sign them so
2) Acknowledge that 32-bit is still main stream. Developers will have to think smarter...as efficiencies in code will be needed to have their software do more with the 32-bit platform. The last time this phenomina occured was in the days of DOS. Ah DOS, how I miss you. The platform required developers to be extremely efficient at code in order to sell a good product. Most of the best games still come from that age too.[/

I agree that you shouldn't be able to raze a whole city in one turn. Also, there should be a way to convert a city from Kingdom to Empire, or vice versa, if you capture a city from a different race than your own. Maybe the race-specific improvements should blow up, and the race-neutral improvements (granery etc.) should switch to your own look.

Like the subject says. Most notably, the "War of Magic" campaign map is in there, and loading it enters a very buggy version of the War of Magic campaign. There is also a huge list of maps that are all unplayable because none of the tiles have any fertilities for founding cities. I think these are War of Magic maps that haven't been updated. I'm not sure if they were imported by accedent from WoM when I installed FE, but they are still there after I deleted my WoM folder in My Documen

However, there is one annoying bug (don't know if it is also in the official binary): when casting blizzard (possibly other enemy-targetting spells too?) the game begins to complain that "must target enemy units" when I try to target enemy units. The only way forward is to auto-resolve the battle.
I had the same problem, although it's not really a bug as much as&

Click a unit/city/anything and press the "D" key multiple times. You will need to press the "Done" or "x" button the same number of times that you pressed the hotkey to make it close. It is the same with other menus that can be opened with hotkeys. For example, if you press the "store" hotkey, "S", 3 times times in a row, you will then need to click the "Done" button 3 times in a row to close it. Same with the "Equip" screen with the "E" hotkey, and probably other menus as well. Ho

Great read, thanks! I particularly enjoyed the compiled statistics from the customer survey; I was surprised to see that Impulse users favored Android phones over iPhones. I guess the openness and edginess tends to attract more elite computer users, like developers/enthusiasts. I'm curious to know how many others here are programmers or techies of some kind. One thing I'm wondering is how Stardock plans to promote the Gamer's Bill of Rights to bigger companies, like Ubisoft, w
But the same could be said for all tactical-level interfaces.
I don't think tactical battles take away from what your doing the way dungeon exploration would. You don't have to forget the war your in and the next improvements your churning out to help you for the next 10 minutes to explore a disjoint section of the game. The tactical battles only last like 2 min at the most and they are directly related to what's going on

Don't know if this is the best place to put this, but... AI EXPLOIT: My sovereign, equipped with a bow + blink ability, can SOLO the entire map. All I do is warp around the tactical field reigning hell, and the AI has no defense against this yet. (Eg. shoot enemies until they get close, then blink to the other side of the map before they can touch me. Loop till enemy pwned. Works every time.) Another thing: I would like to see the AI's sovereign t
