[/quote] Go into Impulse. Go to the menu located to the left of the "Explore" menu. Go to Preferences. Click on the box that says "show pre-release versions." Now, you can update. Word of warning, though.
Personally, I love the direction that the changes have made. Some feel a bit overpowered, and while there are a huge amount of bugs in the beta patch, some rendering the game nearly unplayable (but then again, what did I expect out of a beta?), the overall feel is indeed one of hope for the future of the game.

When you run across one, it either boosts your research percentage by a goodly amount, or once built, it provides a free, random technological breakthrough/Arcane Spell.
Anyone else unable to train any archer units? I can design till my heart's content, but they never show up as an option to actual train. Having the same issues with damage shown vs. damage done being screwy. I've had a fireball (with a fire shard harvested) say it did 12 points of damage..and end up doing only six. Same spell said it did 11 points, earlier in the battle, and only really did 1. Lost Libraries are a no show, in my
