U can try locking one of the sliders and adjust the other two. The lock button is the small square on the right of the percentage numbers. for example, u can lock social, and try adjusting the research so the next laser tech will complete in 6 weeks when its set to 49%, than u lock research and adjust the remaining two. Hope this helps. BTW, this game IS about micromanagement.

How would an embassy and cultural base be considered aggression? I think that if you were to think of it like America putting Mcdonalds in Russia. Its really just that our culture started to bleed into theirs. Russia can't very well declare outright war because its people started loving our jeans and hamburgers. Thanks for the reply, but I think I know why they are building farms on those tiles. It's because I use a lot of 500 troops transports with low soldiering bonus (I don't have time to research those techs, I didn't even researched the uni-translator)to invade their planets and their population was droping drasticaly, I just finished them off and found they built 7 basic farms on Dratha, it is just some kind of desperate atempt to raise population at war, though not at all effective but I think th
It's sad to see that computer player have to be given HUGE bonus on everything so they can compete with you. It's like fighting a blind man holding automatic weapon with a kitchen knife.
Just played my first DA suisidal game, Gigantic' TechTrading OFF' 9 rivals' everything common' Max cpu usage. During the course of my conquest of the civilization known as the Drath Legion, I encountered one of the best planet I've ever seen, Skobo II, a class 17, with a +700% industry bonus tile, a +700% research bonus tile, 2 aproval bonus tiles and two +300% industry bonus tile...pretty much everything you need are out there. I think turning TechTrading off actually makes the suisidal difficulty much easier, at least in DL it did. Since for the AI players that should be "TechSharing" not trading.
Since a mapeditor seems too much to ask by now, how about adding an option to save the map of your current game and so you may replay it under different settings? I've not played the game for very long so if such option already exists or is on patch schedule please let me know, thx
