I wish i was getting some of those figures, i read them and thought, wow, i wonder where he got his impulse from. Now dont get me wrong, i like it, and wish it well and I understand I still have a beta version, but for me, it takes on first starting 15 seconds or so to start, anywhere up to 3 or 4 attempts to actually log in, so theres another 15 to 20 minutes, a few kill processes since it locks up and maybe a change of server for good measure, and then i've forgotten why I wanted it anyway an

Got me beat Leo, I notice its not giving you any problems anywhere, shame these computer thingys wont behave consistently lol. I had just done a reinstall of windows XP home SP2 and installed all the patches so I hadn't really had time to mess too much up yet. And it occurred on both my laptop and desktop. Anyway the previous version of icon packager works well, so I am using it for now, will try the next beta. Maybe its working in conjunction with something else I use to beat up on perfect

Well Im not sure if this is where I should post to let people know, but I use perfect disk 2008 and it took an age, well 2 or 3 minutes to start, I have even reinstalled windows, but it seems it was the latest Icon Packager as removing it has solved the issue.

I voted for more but only because it seems I have to go to other sites to find a wallpaper I like. What makes a good wall? will I like it? will you? Decisions based on technical expertise are all very well, but take no account of artistic merit or peoples likes and dislikes in regard to walls, unlike WB which must meet a level of technical competence or they become unusable, but a wall is a wall, what floats your boat wont (or may not anyway) float mine.

It just doesn't show up in the dialogs. It doesn't crash, doesn't appear to be doing anything at all. Security is Kaspersky Internet Suite but I have it on both machines. I went through (a number of times) both setups to make sure I had them setup the same, and all the same boxes are ticked on both etc. Cheers George

Enhanced file dialog problem in Object Desktop WinCustomize Forums

Hi everyone I've run into a problem with enhanced file dialog. It works fine on my laptop but not at all on the desktop. (laaptop is xp home desk xp pro) I've tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it, and anything else i can think of to do, but it just doesnt do a thing, if it were a parrot id say it was ex. Anyone got any suggestions as this is a really handy little program, if it works. Cheers George

After discovering that apple rather sneakily install extra install files all over the place on your computer i have completely removed every trace of apple i could find on my PC. Took a while and meant going off to get quicktime alternative and I lost a few songs I had bought from Itunes (but never really listened to anyway)but it made me feel heaps better

Hope this hasnt already been answered, i can't find it if it has, so here goes. Since the last update of stardock central i have been unable to see the versions of window blinds i dont have installed, so on my laptop version 6 is showing and no others, on my desk pc version 5 is showing and no others? probably not a big deal, but a bit worrisome because my desk pc had 6 installed for a while but kept crashing with it, i would hate to get stuck with an unstable beta, though i dont mind t

Interestingly it works fine on an old laptop with a celeron 1.5 in it but it hangs up and crashes a dual core AMD machine, i shall try again with the next release

I went a looking for the wiki since i knew it existed, but it is not all that easy to find, well i had to come to the forums and search for wiki to find the link, maybe i'm just stupid and blind but maybe it needs something more visible, say on the home page or in the help section. just my thoughts, great idea and looking good (once i found it )

Hi everyone, Ive been using right click for ages and never a problem, until tonight, i have no idea what i did but the right click menu has shrunk to about a 1 cm x 1 cm square, i have tried reloading the skins, (it happens on all of them but i was using one of messiahs Vienna right clicks when it happened) I also reinstalled right click but to no avail, I've broken it somehow and I can't fix it, anyone have any suggestions? yeah i reported this 2 or 3 weeks ago, got some tips on how to fix it, but they didnt work, in fact i ended up haveing to reinstall all sorts of stuff just to get anything to work then lol. So im ignoring it, if we knew what packages they are, and when they are updated we could decide for ourselves, im on limited bandwidth b4 additional charges so im trying to be careful with what i download. On your point about no incentive to provide high quality free content. It would seem to be in the best interest of a master skinner, or anyone else for that matter, to provide some high quality free 'stuff' to generate interest in the premium options they also produce. I would really like the customization of the site, with more searching and sorting ability. What we have now is ok, but the bit where you can limit the skins displayed to ratings doesnt work, for me anyway, and there are so many skins and bandwidth is at a premium, then i would really like more sort and display options.
