Well, I already sent that one, but in the future I'll send them to FE support. Thanks!

I've not noticed a common thread as to why, but periodically my armies will decide set their movement destination off into the distance all on their own. I think the three times it has happened while I was picking up a loot from a battle. So maybe a click is passing through a window onto the map?? Definitely this last time it occured while when a loot window was open. I'll post again if I notice any common thread. EDIT: I have a save game which
I was wondering if the sheet music for the music in Fallen Enchantress could be made available? I play the flute and it is such beautiful music I'd love to learn it!
Non-learning adversarial AI in a dynamic, partially observable environment is incredibly challenging just by itself and there is tons of research being done on the subject. When you add in knowledge engineering and learning your requirements for building a plan increase exponentially, probably to the point where it would become computationally bound. If you're legitimately interested in the challenges go to scholar.google.com and search for terms like "
I haven't posted since the release of War of Magic, but I've been following the development of FE periodically. I'm very excited to try beta 4... this game looks really good! I greatly enjoyed watching your preview video FrogBoy. Thanks for posting it.
That worked (kind of). Your suggestion gave me the idea to delete the data.zip and verify the installation. Thanks for the suggestion! The XML files are still messed up but as long as I don't try to compile a new data.zip I'm fine.
Ugh, I give up. The files reference things that don't even exist. I'm not sure how but I think I have some files from a future build.
So digging into the XML files a bit more, it looks like the problem is messed up comments in the XML file (speaking specifically about KingdomSpecialImprovements.xml). Maybe the engine is supposed to filter them out with some XSL or when they parse it... but that doesn't seem to be working for me when I run the game, so the net result is all the duplication. The strange thing is that it worked fine before 1.06. The really really strange thing is that the comments say version
I completely uninstalled, removed all the mods I had created and reinstalled. What I've noticed is that there are problems in the data files. For example, KingdomSpecialImprovements.xml has two Irrigation Systems (also two barracks, two war colleges, etc). The effect of these seem to stack. An irrigation system costs twice the amount it should and provides twice the effect. I'm enjoying the game enough that I'm tempted to go through and remove all the duplica
Thanks, that did it.
So I've been modifying stuff and putting it into the "My Games/Elemental/Mods" directory (I've also tried Units and Items). But no matter what I cannot get the mod to pick up. Now if I modify the Core files and rebuild the data zip no problem. But for obvious reasons I'd rather not do that as my work will keep getting overwritten. Any ideas on what I could be doing wrong?
I'm having fun playing so far. Like others I'd like to see the spellbooks improved to a degree, there is a bit of sameness to them. The only real problem I'm having is I don't get any spell effects at all ... ever (not just occasionaly like some people with fireball). And no gold glowy effect at notable sites. I don't have particle effects disabled. Stardock, what can I send you that would help you?
