Is there a way to change the text font, font color and font size in script? I have tried: DesktopX.Object("Obj to change").font="font to use" DesktopX.Object("Obj to change").font.color=RGB(25,50,75) DesktopX.Object("Obj to change").color=RGB(25,50,75) All I get is an error and frequent DX Builder crashes Thanks

I'm with you, cplair. Haven't bought a system in over 20 years, just parts. That's the beauty of the IBM/MS framework, customized systems anyone can build to suit their own needs/taste. Apple missed that boat and is still trying to claw its way back. As a matter of fact, I am currently putting together a shopping list for my next one.
Yes, I have tried OB, but it seems to want to cause an error with Windows explorer. When I start it, I get a crash error for Explorer and although OB stays up, it screws up explorer which is integral to Windows. I am working with SD support to try to resolve that issue.
I put the "pop up real start menu" plugin in Control Center and hid the Windows XP SP2 taskbar. When I click on the CC start menu button, the start menu flashes up, but immediately disappears. Also, when the start menu flashes on, it is not always in the same place, sometimes an inch (2.54 cm) above the bottom of the screen sometimes in the normal bottom location. If I click it several times, it will eventually stick. I have closed virtually all apps to see if one was in
You all really know how to make a guy feel stupid. Thanks all.
Is there a FAQ list for posting on the forums. I have tried on numerous occasions to post image links and they simply come out as text you must copy into a browser. Is there a way to script them so they act like a link and open a new browser tab, now even in IE, rather than the c&p routine? Even better, is there a way to script them in html so the image is auto drawn from a remote site into the message.
DX Builder has all the shortcuts but if I switch to DX Client all but two go away and I have to unload and restart in builder mode if I want to add an object. Also under the client configure there is no option for starting in builder mode. http://mysite.verizon.net/snap.hook/clientpreferences.png I don't want to be in builder mode by default.
I just installed the latest DX beta and now the systray icon only has two options, configure and unload. What happened to the others, particularly the switch to builder option?
Rather than rewrite the whole post, I will refer you to post https://forums.wincustomize.com/index.aspx?AID=160037 and repost the images taken a few minutes apart, one before a switch to a different skin and the next after reapplying the original skin. <img src="http://mysite.verizon.net/snap.hook
I have read through the posts on resolving CursorXP layering issues, https://forums.wincustomize.com/?forumid=177&aid=154383#1275116, and have defraged, several times, and at least have CXP on top of most things, usually. Here is an example of what is happening now. As you can see the cursor is on top of everything except the WB window frame. Also, this does not happen

And just who do they want stronger bargaining rights with? Don't they all pretty much work for themselves? And why would an anarchist, one who wants no controls or limits, want to join a union? Very curious.
I was just going to ask about this. Here is an example. I had an even better one, but it stopped working. It was with the Onix skin such that the cursor was under Rainlendar (at desktop level) and over the window but under the window frame. I think Bill Gates had a thing for optical illusions in his youth.
After much frustration with the lack of documentation, rusty programming skills and DX builder crashing at regular intervals, probably because it didn't like my code, I think I've got it. Another bottle of Rogain, please. Is there a resource that explains the DX scripting language, actions and subroutines, such as Object_OnStateChange(state) ? I finally figured out that Sub Object_OnScriptEnter executes at DX load, but never again, and had to put the code in the OnStateCha
I suspect this can be done and has probably been answered a bazillion times before, but for the life of me I can't get it. I have a left screen panel that slides off the screen to the left. There are object controllers that popup a seperate panel with app shortcuts. Very common. If I lock the side panel in place the popup app panels appear 25 pixels to the right of it, but if I unlock the panel and slide it out from off the screen, the popup app panels appear 25 pixe
I, too, was having this exact problem and could not resolve it. Rolling back from the beta version fixed me right up. Many thanks from a happy clicker.
I have the same problem. I have positioned them time after time and they want to keep moving back to their original X position. Or you try to move something and, poof, it disappears and you hunt and curse only to find it has become the child of something else. Every time I turn around, there is some incredibly annoying, frustrating thing about Stardock products. Window Blinds seems to be the only reliable app and even it has its annoyances, probably Windows generated, but nevertheless....<br
Gee, thanks. So, is Vista any better? or did they just mess it up even more?
I get so frustrated when I find a theme I like (usually a dark one) and it looks really nice. But then I open a program or two and find that the toolbar fonts or popup dialog fonts, or menu fonts are all black set against a dark background. This makes reading the difficult at best and frequently nigh on impossible. Is there a way to alter the font or background colors for various parts of a WB theme? Here is an example from the recently posted Yellow Blue WB theme. <b
The ole shortcut did the trick. Wonder why it is not put there during installation. Thanks.
I installed the freebie CursorXP, configured it and all was well with the world. Then I re-booted and was back to the rather drab Windows default cursor. Now I have to go into the mouse control panel and configure CursorXP each time I re-boot to get the CursorXP cursors back. Curse, Curse. Any solutions out there?
Another Option? My Win XP restore failed and I had to reinstall the OS, to a different folder. Now I get a message that says, "The product appears to be validated but the serial number or the machine SID don't match." So much for online validation/registration. (((((((((((((((((((((((((
And there are other people with this problem (see posts); Just no resolutions. A little interest from SD would be refreshing. I guess SDVD is not a $$$$maker.
That being the case, perhaps we should rename this tab (or whtever it is called) to Possible Stardock Support, or I Hope Stardock Supports. Just Stardock Support somehow gives the impression of, well, Stardock Support. There are many things I like about SDVD, but the problems with windows reopening and refusing to close make it unuseable for me. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/sd/SD
For 21 days I have been watching this thread to see if anyone gave a RA about the problems surrounding SDVD, but alas, nary a query. Ah well, I guess CoolDesk it is.
