The highest I've ever had was a 42. From the dread lords. I was completely overwhelmed with what to do with it. So, I made an industrial planet, with a manufacturing capital, starport and the rest industrial sectors, with a few power plants here and there. After that, I completely owned the the galaxy.

Yeah, but I want to go the whole nine yards with the little picture. Besides, I know squat about XML. Are you sure there are no political party mods for DA, or if more political parties are going to be implemented later?

I would keep scenarios generic and not identifiable to Real Races Past or current. Its an association Game Developers avoid like the Plague, same goes for Religion. Both those topics can ignite Huge Bush Fires, and nasty vitriol as inevitably someone takes it to heart, ignoring that it is a game. Its then downhill from then on to obscurity. Also, try making large fleets with both small and large ships, and try upgrading your logistics points, minimization (I think that's what it's called) and try defending against them, like if they use lasers use shields and so on. I hope you get everything straightened out, and good luck.

It's in the right spot, yes. Try making a ship that's stronger against the pirates. EXAMPLE: 100defence to lasers 0 defence to missiles and 700 defence to mass drivers, you'd choose to research missiles. Also, try sacrificing the speed for more firepower, because the pirates usually try to find your ships.
