What I'm reading on a lot of these forums is if too high a review, the reviewer is tagged as a fanboy and/or getting funded by Stardock. If too low a review, the reviewer is either incompetent or didn't play it. I go by the quality of the review, and this is pretty detailed and extensive. It covers all bases, and I agree with most points. The user score may or may not boost it up overall, but the writing is on the wall no matter what. I can appreciate Stardock
At this point, my suggestions and frankly I suggest anyone else's suggestions and ideas and error dumps not be given so easily to Stardock, it might fly in the face of many but, at this point, my ideas and suggestions come at the cost of a consultation fee and it's not cheap because I don't enjoy it, I especially don't enjoy explaining having an issue only to be met with someone expecting an error dump, had this company some foresight, they could easily imple
Quoting searro, reply 206 Wouldn't have to adress all this quickly if the game was properly tested, and launched later. This is completely irrelevant at this point and has been discussed ad nauseum.
This is extremely relevant. But with all due respect, your statement is one of the main reasons why game companies continue to distribute beta-quality products. Its not enough to dis
Quoting blimey, reply 199Why do I have to pay for crap now, in the hopes that it will be buffed out later? The game isn't crap now. It could - and will - be better, but it's not crap. Frankly, I'm getting tired of these exaggerations. The way some people talk, Elemental will ************ if you install it.
Ok, instead of crap, I'll say "bug-ridden", I experience a slow-down the more turns I play,
The game wasn't unstable though. 1.0 was fairly stable, at least as much so as most PC games on release day. 1.05 was/is very stable. To some it was unstable. I can sympathize with that. For me, the only crashes I experienced were the ALT-TAB crash (ATI compatibility issue) a couple of times and the memory leak (resolved in 1.06) one time.
I still have crashes to the desktop, po
But I want Elemental to rock. I want it to be one of those games I can play for years. But Stardock released it far too early, and although it's good to see its CEO tell the gaming press to just review what they have, he really doesn't have a say so in the mater. I just really hope that V1.1 doesn't just mix things up a bit; I want to see the game fixed and balanced and as far as I'm concerned, that takes time. In other words Stardock:
I'm not worried that the game will eventually be more like what we expect and more like what it should be, but I don't get the timing. I should also say that regardless of sales or reviews, our commitment to Elemental will not be affected. As some of you know, most of our company's revenue doesn't come from developing games. Even if the game didn't sell another copy, we would still continue our update schedule. If money i

I searched the forum and the accumulated bug list, and I do not find any mention of this issue. Does this happen for anyone else? Is it already a known bug?

Does anyone have the issue when you click on study spells, if you click on another action like Design Units, you can't click back on study spells? Its odd, because I can click on other actions, just not that one. Wondered if this is a known issue.
