Wholeheartedly agreed :) HP values need better scaling to keep up with quickly growing attack and defense.

Really though, it's an issue with any single-target spell that's cast on a stack. I think it just automatically casts it on the "next" unit, after the Sovereign, since it doesn't know how to deal with an army.
After conquering many cities and defeating the enemy Sovereign, I'm now operating at -35 food. Not sure how this happened, and the -35 number doesn't affect my overall total of food (it's stuck in the HUD.)
Since each housing improvement takes food, it sounds like since you just captured a bunnch of cities it "subtracted" the food cost of those houses from your total.
Sometimes when I attack a lone creature with a party it gives me the option to "Battle"
Frogboy's planning on taking a considerable amout of time off from CEO-ing duties to work on the AI (and couple other things) soon.
At the moment you have to wait for the dedicated MP servers to be activated. There's no offline LAN option.
Do you have a ship on auto-explore? I'm pretty sure I've seen threads that point it out as an issue that can use stuck turns.
I think ship exploring is a little wonky.. in some cases it's been giving stuck turns. Does it happen still if you do the same thing but having a land unit explore instead of a ship?
I'm assuming your suggestion is after looking at the Kingdom Report window? What would you like to see that it doesn't show?
You're allowed to complain, not to turn every thread into a flamefest. There are plenty of existing threads for you to continue. Leave issue reports as issue reports.
MagicWeasel, might I suggest that you pool your time with Icecrown (I noticed you posted in his thread) to make an awesome effects mod? Two of you can get it done faster than one, and both of your stuff looks good. Why have competition when it can be faster and probably better with combined efforts :D Also, hi Ziff! Long time :P
1. Sadly, no :( Wisdom doesn't shower anywhere after the game starts. 2. I don't believe so. You can try hovering over the portrait of the unit on the bottom, since that has an hp and mana bar. But it's just 1hp/turn in friendly territory and I believe 5 or so in a town, and 1 mana/turn anywhere - without equipment. 3. Not sure, is it a quest reward or something? 4. It's random. In my current game I found 4 stones but only one of the quests. 5. What level is that quest? I
Do you have the tactical battle threshold set to 0 in the game options?
I haven't, but given the 2-3 day estimate on priority shipping from USPS, either today or tomorrow hopefully :)
That's odd, I was playing just last night and could build Sions normally after constructing the improvement.
Wonderful, another problem with the game.
How about you leave this kind of commentary to yourself and not attempt to derail another thread into a flamefest? Leave the people to report their issues in peace so the SD guys who have to dig through them don't get berated in each one.
In Impulse, you can select Elemental in My Games, then look at the very bottom of the Impulse window. It will list a version. If you hover your mouse over that, you will see the last 3 digits of the version number. These are generally for internal use which is why they're not shown everywhere.
Months ago, several people (myself included) did attempt to warn Frogboy against such an early release.
Read the rest of the post, maybe? I'm well aware that people were "warning" about it, and I expressed my concern as well. But it's moot. They're a small company, putting off the release for another 6 months was likely not feasible financially. There are lots of things that go on behind the scenes we don't see. Better to help them make the game better than
Want to make a specialist town? You'd better damn well *REMEMBER* which one you put which bonuses on or you're just swinging in the dark. This is ok if you have a couple towns, but once you're past a half dozen it gets a bit cumbersome to keep track of.
If you bring up the city details by clicking its portrait when selected, it will show you which bonuses it has.
To help you spot idle units, they'll have a thick yellow border on the unit tree on the left hand side. Units that are out of moves won't have the border. I'm actually not sure if that setting also works in tactical battles or not, I have it on and haven't tried turning it off :P
It happens sometimes.. there are several quest tiles that give off your influence if they spawn for you. Once you do the quest and the tile disappears, the influence should too. I wonder if there's something in the xml files for these.. do you remember the name of the quest?
There's not much to give. I don't belive USPS actually provides any tracking information for priority mail.
Someone messed up a counter variable update! :D
I think I saw an option in the settings to disable auto unit selection, but I'm not sure. At the moment there doesn't seem to be a way to turn off camera tracking spells/arrows either :(
How do you research spells and what do you need to do it? I was able to open my spell book and when I highlight spells I see a "learn" button but when I click it, all that seems to happen is that it goes to the top of the spell book and says "learning". Yet nothing seems to actually be happening as the days keep on rolling by. Do I need a special building or Tech to do research? Does it cost anything to research a spell? How long does it take? It's frustrating trying to figure this out
As far as pulling the release trigger now, I wonder if Brad just sensed alot of burnout in the office.
What people never seem to realize is that release dates aren't just spur of the moment things. They're set in stone way, way in advance because there's a lot of competition for retail shelf space. Sure you can point at Blizzard being able to delay a couple of months, but the difference is every single retail store would trip over their own feet to carry a Blizzard gam
