When you build an Eyes of the Universe improvement to reveal all races' homeworlds in a multiplayer game, that information becomes hidden again if you save and then re-load the game. This might also apply to other effects that reveal starting worlds. I haven't happened to try yet.

the onstartturn trigger only fires once (it will not fire at all if you don't specify a turn). I'm more than a little interested in the three spawn/award artifact actions. Which schema file is that? Is it just in there with the rest of the .xml files and I didn't notice? EDIT: sadly it appears that even SpawnArtifact doesn't have any additional criteria and just gives it to the weakest player as per the console command. The best approach I'm seeing is to cr

Hello fellow modders! I was attempting to create a new race ability called "insidious" that gives gradual bonuses to diplomacy and logistics as part of an evil diplomatic race that naturally evolves/learns over time. This would be similar to the "artifact" major event from GalCiv 2, and in fact I learned a couple things from https://forums.galciv3.com/467992/page/5/#3578740 , namely that... -There is no known "OnEa

Some combination of the patch 1.31 and trying the Microsoft redistributable again seems to have fixed whatever the issue was. Thank you for your attention to this issue.

I don't even get a loading bar. It just briefly shows a spinning circle instead of the mouse, and nothing else happens. It's been two weeks since I sent a report ticket and I have heard nothing. I have had many positive experiences with Stardock with GalCiv2, which is the only reason why I still have any hope. I and many others are unable to run your game with some of the most common operating systems and hardware used by gamers, Stardock; This product is unacceptable

I was able to briefly play the pre-release version of this game, before deciding that I would rather wait for the full release. Unfortunately, I am now unable to launch the game; doing so causes a 'waiting' icon as if the game is about to launch, but nothing happens. The GalCiv3 process is briefly visible in the task window. I have tried everything in the troubleshooting forum, both with the current stable game version and the beta opt-in version. I sent

There are really only 3 things I want changed in GC3: A better/more balanced combat system, A more convenient way to control the massive number of ships you end up with late in the game, and a better custom race designer. Anything else is optional as far as I'm concerned (honestly, that last one is too).

Granted, they all begin arguing about how "great" a movie Twighlight was. Slowly the Twighlight fans kill off the rest of the world by forming mobs, which means you are either dead or... worse... I wish that the world became as it is depicted in Gears of War 2, and was subsequently hit by the zombie plague from Left 4 Dead, resulting in an amazingly awesome conflict that I got to watch in its entirety from a godlike, non-madening vantage point before succumbing to awesomeness overload

And it is next time you post that inspiration finds you. With triumph in your heart, you maneuver your mouse over the "post reply" button, but then find... you are unable to make yourself push that button. In fact, you find you no longer care if your posts include a wish with their reply. This brings you to the realization that you no longer care about anything, and shortly thereafter you die of suffocation because you do not care about breathing. I wish I had an entire

Granted, but the new saxophone comes with a new saxophone player, who constantly day and night plays the saxophone without end. He refuses to allow you to use the saxophone. He also has super-human strength and agility and is indestructable so you never end up trying to kill him to steal it. He follows you around even when it seems impossible that he should know where you are, playing the saxophone day and night until you are driven mad by lack of sleep. I wish that eve

As you finish your fervent wish, you hear police sirens of increasing volume. You look out a window to see, but nothing is within sight yet. Then, you think you hear something... at first you think you are imagining it, then you slowly become more certain that you are hearing a cheery tune being drowned out by the police sirens. Just then, you see a battered ice cream truck crest a nearby hill, chased by no less than seventeen individual police cars. The nearest television in your home turns
