TuneUp Utilities loads your bootskin from file, and re-saves it in a temp directory for as long as you keep it in record (the list on the screen). If you remove it and want to reload it you'd have to repeat the procedure.

Hi. Sorry this is seriously late, hope you still read this. Depending on the software you use, different effects will emerge. Your software should offer a text Anti-Aliasing tool which smoothens text like XP's ClearType, but much smoother. I use Adobe Photoshop, it has the following modes of smoothing: > None > Sharp > Crisp > Strong > Smooth Most programs have their own way of doing this.

WindowBlinds uses the Windows Classic Style to manipulate the themes it uses, there's obviously a glich that stops the process there and then. Don't know how to solve it, but it definitely uses the Classic theme. Hope it helps a bit .

I suggest that you download TuneUp Utilities. It's a great package for maintaining your PC, and you can make your own bootskins. There may be better creator programmes out there but TuneUp manages them very nicely. Give it a try.

I'm new here - and I've never spoken to you of WC but I still wish you well with the situation, best of luck! Stay Cool. My feeling at this time: There's no smiley to describe it - but it's positive and supportive, I think they should make a smiley for that.

Not a skinner - but I do have an idea for you. I suggested to vStyler earlier that you should make the skin look unique by giving the simple things a few touch ups and changes. Think about the small changes that would make your idea unique. Pay attention to those details more than you would have before - I suppose, I'm still new so dont always take my advice.

I recently watched 'A Few Good Men' on my Plasma, and didn't think it was the best movie, but if they did a bit more in it - I would have enjoyed it, I really enjoyed Troy, Lord of the Rings trilogy, and Star Wars. Thanks

I would change some of the most basic things, like the position of common areas on the OS. Like the folder task bar with all those extra options - I would put those on a completely different side of the Window itself, just to make it look different. I'd pay attention to smaller details that actually make a good skin. To me, skinning isn't just about making the skin look good, it's also about ideas and concerns that people have for their OS's. Will replace the link soon - j

Vienna Sounds like a good name, but not for Windows, more for WB. I eat Vienna's - I don't use them! What do you guys think is a better name?

Hi All ... Haven't any of you guys out there wondered why skinners use the same styles for customizing? You know - the Windows Vista Glass, the stylish Microsoft Fonts and stuff... I'm not a skinner myself, but I have the potential to be a great one, and I have a very good eye for skinning. There are always those things that look the same in skins. Rocksta
