Despite the nearly unanimous "no" response, I actually went ahead and got it today... It's actually a lot of fun, I played a few hours, then had a meeting to go to and left it running--when I got back it still ran at the 60ish FPS (I didn't experience any lag except a bit on end turns, but that's normal for most TBS games) that it did before. I also alt-tabbed probably 15 times to look up how to do stuff (like build farms, that was a tad counterintuitive at first although I should have guesse

I too have the same question. I loved GalCiv, Sins, and the AoW/HOMM series (I never played Master of magic); this is my genre, and I have worshiped the ground on which Stardock walks to this point. After seeing some gameplay videos I've been rather underwhelmed with the graphics and visual elements of the gameplay: for example, the worlds do not look nearly as rich and detailed as those in HOMM-V and AoW Shadow Magic, despite those games being far older.
