For the Kingdoms it is the Pub and the Inn, and the one off Palace. For the Empires there is a statue and potentially more but I found the tech tree for them crazy counter intutive. I agree that having champions that increase prestige has never benefited me (though having a soverign that penalises does reduce it).

Haven't seen a resource change but I certainly seem to gain the odd shard between restarts.
I'm no expert, but I found stability improved if I updated all my drivers to latest versions. Other than that you could follow the instructions in the sticky to give them your err files so they can debug issues and make sure the new patch will fix your system rather than hope it will and urge they rush it out.
Periodically if I esc to the options menu and save the game then return to the map, it shows the base ground rather than the cloth with no features other than fog of wall and my stacks. Have to return to options, unclick only cloth map and reclick for it to be back to usable. On a further point, with the graphics load, is there any chance of seeing a clothe map only load option that simply turns off all normal graphics to save on system resources. I know several players
Y es only the soverign can cast the imbue. It would be nice if they simply applied the stack ejection scroll list to the targetting of the spell as it already programed. Another thing that tripped me is the annoyance of casting imbue a new champ and don't see another champion already imbued still in the stack and he simply gets a boost to his essence from your pool. Or an experianced champ who isn't imbued taking control of a stack so you have to leave hi
Sorry I didn't see the morale stat, but I outnumbered and outpowered the enemy, I was thougherly beating his empire, and my soverign had no penalties or bonus to morale. I attacked, closed range firing off a fire spell, he fired the ice spell on one of my peasent squads, second round movement everyone but that peasent squad closed to one square from him, then no one could move or act the next round in any way. Enemy carved me up for one round then hitting the auto resolve button I w
I'd like to see the game limited to give one elemental spellbook to start with free 'well subtract 3 from starting points free' but each time you kill an enemy soverign you take his elemental book. Something more to mark the demise of the enemy faction. Perhaps even the faction determines the book started with.
The fact that the soverign/champions never have good hitpoints like large unit groups makes the imp power too strong. The power to crush enemy spellcasters before they can cast back only damages an already limited magic system. It is certainly a bug with the infinite area, always ten damage regardless of defence, and it can be used against creatures like darklings meant to be immune to offensive spell targeting.
I had some luck with the earthquake spell but then you need to lower the land to smooth it out and be carefull aiming beside the city. I wouldn't mind seeing the reverse through magic or just came effect that would increase new growth woods inside the influence to show the world growing because your kingdom/empire is healing the deviststated world.
Casting Imbue champion from a solo champion alone as a stack but standing in the same space as a second stack - 1 recruited champion, It asks to cast give up four essence, then asks it again, then crashes the game. Unusual situation I know, caused by one unit walking to a different location to the channeller landing on the same space and making two stacks. Then the champ sent to the channeller to be imbued joining the wrong stack. Imbue cast after still movin
Is there an easier way to shuffle a stack than having units leave and re-enter the stack? Hopefully I am missing something obvious because as it is, having to use movement points to leave then return to the stack after imbueling or to put the big hitters at the end of the line to make them front line, or even just to change the stack leader to cast teleport, is a big hassle.
Encountered twice a minor bug. When fighting an enemy soverign he used a spell I beleive called 'Ice shard' to attack a unit. This lowered the units action points the next turn. The next turn, once all my units had used thier action points they did not regain them each turn. Auto battle resolved the fight so a minor bug at best. Oh and the creature summoned by the the empire spell summon spy has an attack that does a 10 point consistent damage to every enemy on the field i
Some kind of order of battle system other than having the big hitters leave the stack then return to the stack would be nice. Even better something that lets you set characters to offensive or defensive before entering a battle so the champions don't rush ahead of the army and die on automatic.
I am finding that if I create armies of larger than 9 units, 1 unit of my side periodically appears amoung the enemy ranks at the start of combat. Great when it is my big hitter, not so great when it was a pioneer I brought along for settlement work. I fear the day my soverign appears in such a position. I will add a debug pastebin immediately after then next time it happens.
I can't help but recall that there was some original idea that the Tactical Battles were originally designed to be real time not turn based. If that is the case then a design philosophy limiting special abilities as awkward to deploy in real time might have been carried over to here. One could imagine a system like Sins of a solar empire where abilities could be set to automatic use but with the level of comodity that mana is here that would still be problematic. I think we all ag
Thanks for the replies guys.
1. Do you mean the Fog of War? The limit of a city's vision range? Not quite sure what you mean... same on the creature thing....
Actually I meant the colour border on the tree in the very top left showing cities and units. I suspect it means that these locations either have not acted yet or have no action but I am unsure as I am colour blind and there is subtle shading differences that could be
Good documentation would probably answer these but till then... 1. What is the meaning on the light or dark colors arround the cities and creatures in the top left empire tree? 2. Can the level up benefit of the cities be changed later to reflect the idea of changing cities building layout to pursue goals? 3. Is there a way to see more easily how much an available NPC wanderer will cost without asking or have the no asking sign appear when trying to ask? <br
I felt the same just a day ago but after 1.06 I am genuinely dazzelled at the increase in speed and stability on even my basic hardware. What I was fearing was a game needing six months more polish is being whipped into shape and just needs some more balance. It is not just you that you submit the crash and debug reports for but every player and how much long term succes the game will have (feeding more updates back to you). Perhaps make a shortcut to t
I encountered on the research tree for magic the gaining of the book of enchantment, the book of summoning, then a higher level of a book of combat (not sure of name but added combat spells and strategic attack spells like earthquake), but haven't seen how you get elements you don't start with. Might be in quests.
An Option like this would be nice. Aside from the exclimation mark icon those on the right are too small to be easily distinquisable and there is a nice feeling at the announcement of unit x finally deployed in GalCiv2. the icons on the left are good for detailing when a city is idle but not the progress you are making. It would also mark turns better which can blur a bit as auto turn goes on.
Update to 1.05 and works fine, nice of you to be ahead of the complaint.
I thought it was just a random error and restarted twice but every time I revisit a notible location lost battlefield level 0 on my map it causes a crash. Ver 1.01, updated video drivers. http://pastebin.com/hUHLdeqr Edit: May not be about the location as bypassing it still crashes after a two - three turns.
Just a couple questions based off stumbling over the interface. Is there a mechanism to see what enchantments have been cast on a town? I have been able to see that my soverign has an enchantment tabs he has cast the +1 food enhancement twice but I have forgotten which two of my towns. Second, is the ratio in trade between factions set or fluid? I mean the ratio of diplomatic capital to gold to material to metal doesn't seem to change between if an empir
Updated. Works better but slower. Thanks though.
I raised level by pursuing the middle adventurer research path, not the hero nor food paths. Not sure but this could be an associated bug, I am looking at my screen at Morrigans Lab and Morrigans Dungeon. for both it lists as 'Notible location 4, your level 3.' Right beside them is a treasure chest. 'Notible location 3, your level 4' Edit: Video drivers up to date and version 1.01.
