Good Evening, Stardock, Karma is giving a 500 error. Attempted to clear on my side by clearing cache and using incognito mode in chrome as well as used microsoft edge with no luck. Please take a look. Thanks. Edit: Appears not to work on select forum posts...
The Orville is basically a passion project for Seth. He was tired that the Trek he knew was dead and there is no sign of it coming back. So he basically made a TNG/Voyager like show of his own. The name changes and forced attempts at humour make it different enough not to get sued. Honestly going by the first two episodes it has some real potential for being a spiritual successor to Star Trek, but they might want to dial back the Seth
4. Have a look at the abundance settings for planets and how they interact with eachother. Can't put my finger on it, but something seems to be 'off' there. Abundant all setting has very often left me with the worst luck ever - one colonizable in intitial range, for example
Yeah, once you start putting more than one abundant setting it seems to start taking away from everything else, personally I've never liked the a
1. Add the ability, like GalCiv2 to upgrade all ships of x type for x credits per Turn. 2. New Bazaar feature, broker buy/sell durantium/elerium/ect... for credits. 3. Ability to upgrade merc ships by contacting Bazaar and gives option to upgrade ship for x resources x credits. 4. Repurchase merc ships when destroyed for higher rate, may be upgraded some as well from base model. Therefore keeping it interesting longer into the game.&n
Thanks it is working today, much appreciated.
thanks if you need specifics this is the error I'm getting... Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, how
Good evening Stardock, The founders vault page is giving me a runtime fault when I attempt to log in. It states I need to be connected to an internal machine to access. Please check to see what may be going on. I have attempted to even log in through igcongnito mode in case it was a cache issue. Thanks in advance, much appreciated.
As for the turn time, please send us a save game and we'll take a look.
It's the same game I loaded to discord last week just several more turns in the future. I can upload it again if you'd like. That's why I thought that older saves weren't supported maybe is because maybe the turn time improvements didn't work with older saved games ect... Turn time has remained the same about 5 minutes. &nbs
Save games from earlier versions of the Galactic Civilizations III will not be supported. Yet, once 2.5 is released, we'll make the current 2.33 build available as an "opt-in". Mods will likely need to be updated as well.
There should be a game check error when attempting to load a game from 2.33 or prior, that once the player clicks on that game and then clicks to load game the game just pulls a pop up box that simply states this message.
curious, see founders levels still available. I was founder thing for GalCiv3 (although not a major tester by any means). Has Stardock started rolling out versions (alpha or whatever) of this game yet? thanks
A few select people have gotten an early version of the game from what I understand, however, the vast majority hasn't yet. I'm not exactly sure what the plan is for early access
Great post frogboy, about the anomalies, abundant seems rare on non-modded games on the largest maps. on smaller maps they are fine. (same with habitable planets) I'm assuming this was done on purpose but it's a completely different type of gameplay on those maps. It would be nice if the largest maps played similar to the smaller maps just larger. thanks.
Lot of fine points there. Galciv is a decent game, but still has lots of polishing to go. Speaking of, have they fixed crusade MP yet?
No this has not been fixed, there is a possibility we will get more information on this next week per discord on when we can expect this as well as an overview on the Mercenaries. Most of the issues mentioned by the OP don't play a major role in me enjoying the game. Dip
Okay, there has been no reply on this, now a month later is there any plan on this? Thank you.
Maybe attempt to reverify your game files on both machines. Should that fail, maybe attempt renaming your GC3Crusade or GalCiv3 Folder (depending on if you have Crusade or not) by adding a "B" or "2" after it. This will force the game to recreate this file from scratch. The down side if you are playing the base game you will have no custom ships/factions in your game. I advise then trying a game with just the core factions or just the two custom factions that
Good Evening Stardock, It's been a little over a month now since the Crusade launch, is there a time table set for when the Bazaar (Merc's) will get an overhaul as there are some really expensive (weak), although discription says strong ships, which by the time you got to the final stage of the game the player can make ships much more powerful and less expensive. Plus there are still several other Merc's that the Crusade expansion makes obsolete such as the super Constructo
Eliminate the Founders program as it stands and only offer it through Steam directly. That would be suicide. The last time Stardock did that with GalCiv3 it was a TOTAL AND UTTER DISASTER on the Steam forums. You weren't there. It was a fucking cluster shit fest of stupidity. Every idiot that hates Early Access came screaming on the forums.
I was there, that's why with this point I mentioned a hidden page that
So what are the solutions? I was actually thinking about it last night. Can (the game developer) create 2 different executable's~
Interesting idea maybe this would work this way? A few highlights that may work... Give away a free Alpha/Beta key (no review). [Can play up to a week after release] Founders get a unique Steam coupon for 99% off upon release, therefore paying for the game, DLC's are still free, Expan
Recently, Steam changed the review system such that those customers who pre-purchased GalCiv III during the Founders programs don't have their reviews count towards the review score. In the future, we'll be handling our founders programs differently, but in the mean time. it's a bit of a bummer for GalCiv III and in particular Crusade.
Can you speak to what is changing with the Founders program? or is this to be announced in the near future somewhere?
OP- First off I like that you took the time to post as I myself have posted many posts on my frustrations about different things in the past as well. A few highlighted points... Crusade felt rushed: Yes, I agree, seems they took the whole time just getting the features into play and "We'll work on the bugs after release because we can have quick patches later." I've pointed out in several situations like you have, if I purchase a gam
found the link burried in the skype page thanks though :)
I've asked for this in the past and even though other elite founders are invited I've not been, how are founders given the invite to the discord chat? I am for Gal Civ but, not for here? Is there something that us founders need to do to get this invite? Thank you.
Your talking about ludicrous when we will probably get large for a phone.
I think most would understand that it would have to be a scaled back version for a mobile game. The question is how much scaling back and like erischild states how would the input be with just touch screen. I think it would be interesting things to work through and I'd be fine with basic graphics that give a feel of the game o
I am assuming this has already been published somewhere. Multiplayer - using custom races is broken.
Not broken, not in game currently and that is working as intended. They are working on bringing this back so it can work better with the "new" custom races so that the player doesn't have to wait for several minutes for 100's of factions with ships downloading. They disabled this while they are working on it.
